Is that special someone in your life constantly annoyed when you want to turn a solid 6 hours of football watching on Sundays into an even 10? Well, now it’s going to be even tougher to keep you away from the action. NBC announced it will be streaming its Sunday night games on the Internet. Go on with the wastin’ away! From Reuters.com:
All 17 weeks will be carried on the web, available on both the NBC and NFL sites, with the TV audio feed. However, viewers will have a choice of several camera angles from which to view the game. There will also be special stats and a picture-within-picture option. The service will only be available in the US.
Steve Bornstein, the NFL’s executive vice president of media, said:
“This is an exciting step forward for us as we offer our fans a new way to consume NFL games. We are combining NBC’s outstanding Sunday Night Football telecast with extras that will enhance the fan enjoyment of the game.“
See that, MLB? See what the NFL did right there? What wasn’t clear from any article we could find, however, is if this will come with a fee. Either way, consider us intrigued (but mostly if it’s free).
