Dave MN linked to a contentious post about Deadspin commenters on a recent post of ours. The basic premise/argument: is the litany of comments about the ladies ironic good fun or sexism hidden behind a fake name? Does it advance snarky discourse or is the anonymous banter closer to reality than most urban hipsters might want to believe. It’s an interesting little debate, so head over there if you don’t mind some swears. One thing we do know: you guys are brilliant. At least that’s what we hear from the Victoria Times blog. Which begs the question: What are the qualities of good vs. bad commenters?

*Registration for the Wifflin’ For Wishes tournament closes today. Toonces51 had a hankerin’ to get a RandBall team together. Regrettably, we will be out of town Aug. 9. But if you can still find a spot open and want to represent, go for it.
