photo2.jpgphoto.jpgAs many of you noticed, the Twins hosted “Bizarre Foods Night” at the Metrodome this past weekend. We didn’t get to sample any of the strange fare, though we do believe we saw Bert Blyleven taking the plunge on live TV. The event created a fair buzz, which leads us to believe there is an appetite at the new Twins ballpark for more than your standard Field Fare (see what we did there?) As such, we sent Sassbottom on a food-finding mission last night as he attended the Twins v. Mariners game at Safeco Field in Seattle. We’d been there before, but we could not remember some of the regional delights offered up. He snapped a few shots — including that sign for what looks to be the greatest thing ever, a half-pound salmon sandwich. Our only hope is that he was able to hold everything down after the Twins’ pitching imploded late (we had a bad feeling about that game all night, and we couldn’t explain why). In any event, the question is this: what off-the-grid foods would you like to see the Twins offer at the new ballpark? They’re obviously going to have the standard stuff; what would be unusual yet delicious — a “signature food?” We’re not talking about flavored crickets or anything like that. For our money, we’d love to see a full-service breakfast establishment, where one could get hash browns, pancakes, etc., cooked to order. But that’s just us. What about you?

Fasola-link! Expos win World Series.

Oh, and if Brett Favre is traded at some point in here, forget everything we just said and start hyperventilating.
