Tatum Bell “ain’t no thief”; bless the Lions

We’ve been following the Rudi Johnson vs. Tatum Bell Gucci bag incident from an amused distance. Now that Rocket sends us an update from the Detroit Free Press, we have no choice to but post about the two Detroit RBs:
Rudi Johnson and Tatum Bell just gave their sides of Monday’s incident.
Coming off the practice field, Johnson told a group of reporters he saw a surveillance video of Bell swiping two Gucci bags of his Monday. He got them back empty Tuesday. He is missing a couple hundred dollars, his credit cards, his identification and some undergarments, but he won’t press charges.
Reached by phone, Bell told the Free Press that it was a big misunderstanding. He said defensive end Victor DeGrate, whom the Lions released Saturday, asked him to pick up his bags for him. He picked them up in the computer area of the locker room and took them to a female friend of DeGrate’s. He said he never opened the bags, did not have anything of Johnson’s and asked Johnson if there was anything he could do to clear his name.
“I ain’t no thief,” Bell said. “I ain’t never been one, and I ain’t never going to be one.”

Oh, Lions.
