Tatum Bell “ain’t no thief”; bless the Lions

We’ve been following the Rudi Johnson vs. Tatum Bell Gucci bag incident from an amused distance. Now that Rocket sends us an update from the Detroit Free Press, we have no choice to but post about the two Detroit RBs:
Rudi Johnson and Tatum Bell just gave their sides of Monday’s incident.
Coming off the practice field, Johnson told a group of reporters he saw a surveillance video of Bell swiping two Gucci bags of his Monday. He got them back empty Tuesday. He is missing a couple hundred dollars, his credit cards, his identification and some undergarments, but he won’t press charges.
Reached by phone, Bell told the Free Press that it was a big misunderstanding. He said defensive end Victor DeGrate, whom the Lions released Saturday, asked him to pick up his bags for him. He picked them up in the computer area of the locker room and took them to a female friend of DeGrate’s. He said he never opened the bags, did not have anything of Johnson’s and asked Johnson if there was anything he could do to clear his name.
“I ain’t no thief,” Bell said. “I ain’t never been one, and I ain’t never going to be one.”
Follow the link for both players’ full versions of the story. Best part: Rudi Johnson does not believe Tatum Bell.
Oh, Lions.

Victor DeGrate was released!?! Pick him up Vikings!!! Then go out and look for a corner named Eric DeRed.
Maybe Bell can get sent to the same prison as Maurice Clarett. Clarett could…you know…show him the ropes…
As the person who used his 8th round pick on Rudi Johnson in the Randball AAA league, the fact that Rudi was in Detroit to begin with fails to amuse me.
@ Joker: I don’t think they send you to federal pound you in the [redacted] prison for petty theft.
Newbie: Don’t forget Jason deBlog
and Ivan Deterrible
@Hootie: You probably know more about that than I do.
Anyone one besides me wish we would have kept Mario Chalmers???
@ Joker: I thought you were the resident expert on all things orifice related on Randball?
Ok, this thread is getting a little out of control. Let’s bring it back in…
Has anyone seen the movie TRON?
@hootie: I was refering to prison. I’ve dodged that bullet thus far.
/Knocks on wood (pun intended)
