Pop Culture Time Capsule: Motley Crue’s Live Wire

From the ominous skull in the opening shot, to the tightest of tight synthetic fibers pasted to rocking flesh, to the production quality of a 10th-grader’s cable access show, “Live Wire” has it all. If you join mid-video, you might wonder, “Hey, why isn’t Lita Ford wearing something under that vest?” But rest assured, that is 100 percent Vince Neil. We wore a Motley Crue T-shirt of this vintage at least once a week to school in the fifth grade. It was in a regular rotation with Poison, GNR, AC/DC and others. But we digress: Here’s the video. Since the embedding is disabled, we also show you the Torii Hunter brawl last night with Pudge Rodriguez.

Is it still a punch if it is open fisted? Shouldn’t she have said throwing a [redacted] slap, instead?

Did any of you guys have long 80s rock-star hair? (Or do you still?)

No, on the hair.

However, off-topic, the Twins want the All-Star game, but doesn’t this as an annoucement? I mean what else is left to say at the “official” announcement?

/trying to make the public feel there is a better use for their money than for our crappy bullpen.

I had a pretty bad-ass mullet in 9th grade. I also had a New York Mets T-shirt for every day of the week. I was a really strange kid.
