Fired Linehan has higher approval rating than Childress

Not to belabor the point or lend too much credence to the day-after screechings of hung over NFL fans, but we would just like to note that once again Brad Childress is dead last in the ESPN.com Coach Ratings power poll, with an approval rating of 5 percent (after 2,000 votes). This is perhaps even more disheartening for the Big Chill than it was two weeks ago, considering a man who was just fired — Scott Linehan — sits at a rather rosy-by-comparison 11 percent. That photo is from yesterday, when Childress walked off the field after a 30-17 loss to Tennessee and anxiously walked right onto the set of Reservoir Dogs II: The West Coast Offense.

I think he should move to Alaska. I heard he can see Russia from there
There is absolutely no excitment surrounding the Vikings; I have to admit I would be in favor of replacing Childress with Denny Green. At least with this kind of talent he (Green) could put out a winner.
I was hoping the Vikings would be the first to fire a coach. Not cause I hate Childress, but then they could get first crack at the potential candidates. Get someone fresh to build this thing from the ground up. Kansas City’s Quarterbacks coach might be an option to consider…
Is Bart Starr available ?
WE KNOW WHAT THE KIDS LIKE BASEBALL
Sorry, just trying to get that in before baseball starts.

Chilly is also of the “don’t blink. You can’t blink” philosophy that is apparently so effective in Alaska. Must have something to do with the amount of daylight…
It goes to show you that 5% of the people are morons.
Why punt with 2 minutes left to go down by 13? Why waste 2 timeouts on one review? His decisions from personnel to how he manages a game is pathetic. He needs to go. Bill Cowher come on down.
Chilly is toast. That’s as clear as the squint on Biden’s face…who knows. Biden might make a good coach. A coach has to have Attitude, and he has that…
newbie, when the Vikes hired Chilly everyone was excited because they had first crack at a coach and the quick hire allowed them to build a staff before everyone else. I’d rather all the “good”, “proven” options be off the market and Zygi be forced to grab some random college or H.S. guy somewhere to bring a little imagination to the boredom that is this team.
Or hire Cowher.
I’ve said it plenty, but I’ll say it again: MARTYBALL! Get us Marty Schottenheimer, at least until week 9 when he has a heart attack and dies on the sidelines.
Is Cowher available ? If so, excellent choice. He’s got that great jaw every good coach needs. Childress ? He’s a no-jaw man if I ever saw him…
