The Friscalating Dusklight: Now or Never

Posted on September 30th, 2008 – 5:04 PM

We know what the kids like: baseball. Considering it’s 5 p.m. and it’s about 90 minutes to first pitch, we have to imagine this outdoor baseball game tonight will be a pretty big deal. So: open thread on Twins vs. White Sox. This one is make-or-break. No need to explain any further.

Talk amongst yourselfs, and guess along with Gardenhire’s hunches.

Why? Why would you do this? You know what happens. Couldn’t we have talked about candlepin bowling? We all like candlepin bowling.

Don’t forget to start Brandon Marshall… AWESOME!

To steal a bit from Sports Guy, I will predict the following:

“Wait a minute… that’s… that’s Justin Morneau’s music!!”

Some tickets for a sporting event that could possibly occur on Sunday and shall remain nameless came in the mail today. Is this a sign of good luck or a dark omen???

The Hootie says:

September 30th, 2008 at 7:32 pm

Ms. Mpls says:

September 30th, 2008 at 7:32 pm

newbie says:

September 30th, 2008 at 7:44 pm

I was just going to say Danks had a no-hitter going. Nevermind.

StraightCashHomey says:

September 30th, 2008 at 7:45 pm

Maybe you should just about say that Danks has a shutout going newbie.

newbie says:

September 30th, 2008 at 7:49 pm

I should have said it.

The Hootie says:

September 30th, 2008 at 7:50 pm

Yes, by all means send the already slow OF with the broken foot on a pop to short center. What??

Cuddy should have gone for the glove, not the body there.

StraightCashHomey says:

September 30th, 2008 at 7:50 pm

Aiiigh. How can AJ look like that big of a d-bag just by holding the ball up?

newbie says:

September 30th, 2008 at 7:54 pm

I don’t know Homey, but HE can.

*Hey everybody Danks has a 1 hit shut out going. And the Sox have not had an error, can everyone see that no error or runs allowed by the Sox. But don’t say anything we don’t want to jinx it.

fasolamatt says:

C-Dog is very nervous. Three questions per minute. We’re listening to KSTP. Thanks for the local broadcast, [redacted] Bud.

StraightCashHomey says:

Dave MN says:

September 30th, 2008 at 11:23 pm

Welp, glad I couldn’t watch the end. When I left Wild Tymes for the concert it was 0-0 at the end of the 6th.

I learned by text message of the Twins suckitude. Yeah, let’s let Jim Thome (”The Twin Killer” who has hit 400 of his 540 home runs against the Twins) end our season. Did he bat again? If so, I hope we threw one at his head.

On a different note, I love this team. I’m actually looking forward to next year, which is something I can’t say I did wholeheartedly this year. The talent is excellent. Our rotation is pretty solid. I’m liking the outfield. Hopefully, we can get a power hitting third baseman (doubt it). 2009 will be another good year. Hopefully one with an undisputed division title at the end…

Let’s go Rays!
