2000 Chinese gymnasts; who else should we examine?
Posted on October 7th, 2008 – 5:18 PMBy Michael Rand
From the AP: International gymnastics officials aren’t the only ones who want more information on two members of China’s 2000 Olympic team.
The Chinese Gymnastics Association is doing its own investigation into the ages of Dong Fangxiao and Yang Yun, spokeswoman Zhou Qiurui said Tuesday. New information suggests the two could have been as young as 14 at the Sydney Olympics, where China won the bronze medal.
Gymnasts have to be 16 during the Olympic year to compete.
Zhou declined further comment and referred questions to another member of the association, who was not available. But, Zhou added, the association relies on local authorities for information about its athletes.
As you prepare for your first Redactular-less night since Sunday, think about this: who else should we be examining for possible impropriety?

We should examine this blog to see if it is still breathing or dead for the day.
Oh, and the Proprietor. Because if the proprietor has impropriety, that [redacted] is bananas, b-a-n-a-n-a-s.

Insert Joker reference
That should say TFD. We are dead for the day.
BDD. His purple restraint today has me all confused.
“We are dead for the day.”
You guys must of had way too much fun last night.
So, you’re saying they inspected Dong impropriety?
Brad Childress: Does he have a clue?
Though purple is an obvious clue, I don’t understand your puerile “redactulars”. The closest activity I can imagine to them was when as a kid the “funny” boys would supposedly meet as was often rumored in someone’s basement, those kids not in sports but in the band, debate club and student council as I remember. Anyway, we nicknamed their redactulars as “round pounds” because we heard they put their hands in each other’s laps and then just lifted and pounded them down. We didn’t know why. I didn’t really get that then nor understand your redactular now. But what the Hell, I’m hetero..
Reading P3 So You Don’t Have To
The thing I didn’t go to reminds me of nerds, and nerds are gay.
This has been another edition of Reading P3 So You Don’t Have To, an award-seeking service sponsored by The Legion of Doom and Hormel Chili.
No, Stu. Gays may or may not be nerds but gays are, by definition, gay.
Example: Didn’t anyone at your redactular ever ask you “Excuse me (Stusie). Can I push your stool in” ? …no ask, no tell
Joker. New theory after meeting the delightful young man: he’s a happily married father of two girls who makes these stories up for our bemusement.
Oh, IMpropriety. My bad.
Yep, came in to see what was being discussed in this thread…want nothing to do with it. I’ll be back tomorrow.
Reading Stu so You Don’t Have To:
My comments lack worth or fun so I will simply truncate that of another (and you know how that hurts, Stusie
)
Don’t get me wrong. Peterson is one of my favorite Vikings (easy call there since who else would it be, “The Veteran” Sharper or that toeless Animal, Henderson ?) Anyway. I get both Twin Cities rags and expect them to have rah rah coverage (considering they have to sell to Purple piggees) and I read both sports sections (only the Press today so far), but Peterson never is quoted.
I wonder does anyone know if he is retarded in some way. I mean Childress even the “Harvard grad” Birk speak for him, but is this guy physically gifted but intellectually retarded. Can anyone get his grades or SATs from the combine ? Really, he just grins from the sidelines. Weird..
P3, any other groups you want to make fun of while you’re in this thread?
Let’s see, you’ve already covered:
- Gays
- Nerds (defined as people who were in “band, debate club, and student council” in high school)
- “Retarded” people
I know that you enjoy the first amendment, but the amount of disrespect here is just off the charts. I was really hoping that you’d just stop before those last two comments… I’m pretty sure you don’t have a mental filter at this point, because if you took a second to think before writing, I’d like to believe that you’d have reconsidered writing anything that you have in this thread.
Maybe you should take a day off from here.
Dave, I never mentioned “nerds” but did mention “band, debate club and student council” as I remember. If you want to call them “nerds’ that’s your call. Don’t hang that on me. As for Peterson, I have long thought he had some learning disability…don’t you…honestly ?
