TFD: Isiah Thomas …

Newsday snags an interview with a police chief involved in the Isiah Thomas sleeping pills case. Thomas, in case you haven’t noticed, has been trying to say it was his daughter and not him involved in this whole thing. That doesn’t sound like it’s true:
“All the indications were that there was an overdose of sleeping pills. Obviously we’re not mind-readers and we don’t know what’s inside a person’s head. If there’s no note and he’s not being treated for depression, we’re going to treat it as an accidental overdose. In all cases.”
Hall was still upset on Tuesday that Thomas’ version of events made his officers look incompetent or worse.
” ‘Oh, it was my daughter.’ The cops aren’t stupid,” he said. “We’re still talking about this thing four days later. Tell the truth from the very beginning and this thing is over in 24 hours … I’ve never said who the individual was at the house. We know that there was a 47-year-old male, not a 17-year-old female.”
Seems like a pretty logical distinction, yes.
(And that’s the part where some former Packers tight ends stop reading).
