TFD: Jerry Jones has confidence in his last-place team

We leave you today with a bold prediction fueled perhaps by false bravado. In short: it’s a sports story. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is essentially guaranteeing his team will make the playoffs (or at least that’s how we read it). Yep, even though the 5-4 Cowboys are currently tied for last place in their division. Whee! From the AP:
Jerry Jones “absolutely” believes the Dallas Cowboys will make the playoffs, would welcome Adam “Pacman” Jones back to the team if he’s reinstated and isn’t considering a coaching change. The Cowboys owner, in an impromptu gathering with reporters during practice Thursday, said he expects his struggling Cowboys to recover. They have gone from Super Bowl favorites to a 5-4 team tied for third place in the NFC East after losing four of their past six games.
Cornerback Adam Jones was suspended indefinitely last month for violating the league’s person conduct policy. Commissioner Roger Goodell said he would determine the length of the suspension after four games, which would be after Sunday’s game in Washington.

To quote lattewarrior princess, a passionate Cowboys fan: “I’m wary of Jerry but I’m smitten with Witten.”
At least our 5-4 “superbowl favorite” team is tied for first. But who has a more realistic chance of making the playoffs? The Cowboys getting Romo back or the Vikings maybe still losing the Williams wall. (Have we heard anything on that BTW?)
If the Cowboys were in the North they would be tied for first.
Newbie,
Funny you should ask
If Pacman Jones is reinstated, then I believe Ray Lewis should be allowed to kill someone else and still play..
Does Ray Carruth (sp) still play??? If so, same goes for him..
