Thursday (NBA Finals!) edition: Wha’ Happened?

wolves2.jpgHey, great news: we met up with Brandon and Roughkat last night to dispense the final allotment of our Timberwolves tickets (apparently there was a printing problem early on and only the first two weeks or so were shipped early. Of course.) We were expecting tickets to 13 games, including the two big ones for tomorrow’s game, which were our first-round pick in the ticket draft. But folks, let us tell you: we were not prepared for the excitement and shock that Roughkat, the official ticket proprietor, was also able to deliver. You see, not only did we get our regular-season tickets, but also we received our tickets for the duration of the playoffs, including the NBA finals. And let us tell you, it couldn’t have come at a better time. See, the naysayers might look at last night’s victory over the 76ers, the Wolves’ first since the season-opener and one that left them at 2-8, as just a sliver of light in a dark tunnel of stink. But we saw it as a sign. The Wolves win No. 2 in Game 10 on the very night we get our NBA Finals tickets? All the way, baby. All the way.

Side note: Brandon will be providing a recap of that game later today, but for now, also chew on this: Corey Brewer looks like Hobbes.

Fasola-link! Translating the bible into LOLcats.

Is it bad if I was hoping the Wolves would lose last night? A couple more losses in a row and McHale or Taylor would be forced to make changes.(i.e firing Wittman and/or McHale and trading half of this worthless roster)

Does this make me a bad fan? What should Mr. Rand expect during the game on Friday?

We’re coming…

The question remaining is who we’ll play in the finals. The ticket just says TBD. I’m guessing the Wizards.

Rand,

I can’t make out the lettering around the 20 year tickets, but I assume it’s an apology.
Is it?

My guess is they will take on Kentucky in the Championship of the NIT.

Would the Wolves be favored in the WNBA?

If so, what would the odds be, 2-1?

I think the real question is would the Duct Tape Bandits be favored in the WNBA. Out lack of fundamentals could hold us down but I think I’d have better luck palming the smaller ball (that’s what she said).

Oh cool, somehow that last comment was attributed to MR. The interwebs must have thought the tone sounded more like him.

That reminds me - I need to get my sweater vests from the dry cleaners.
