TFD: Vote for COW, enjoy the weekend

It’s been close to three years now since Tyree Ricardo Davis became the incoming centerpiece of a deal between the Celtics and Wolves that sent Wally Szczerbiak to Boston. We remember where we were: at a Twins’ post-season gala. Not sure why we remember that, but we do. In any event, we remember talking ourselves into liking that deal at the time. Ultimately, of course, it became another example of moving bodies around — and creating more contract problems (and other problems) via Davis and Mark Blount. It’s yet another reminder that in the Wolves’ desperation to surround Kevin Garnett with secondary scorers, they eventually sabotaged themselves to the point where another trade had to be made with Boston. Yeah, you know the one. In any event: always remember that talking yourself into a trade usually means it’s not a good trade.
Also: Vote for Commenter Of the Week. You owe it to KG.

I owe KG nothing! I already told you that I gave him back his left earring at the end of the night!
Stu 4 Cow!
He’s already forgotten more about rural MN than I’ll ever know.
This is great, but what I really want to know is why Anders Lee won the 2008 Star Tribune Metro Player of the Year. If only someone could explain it to me in 2 minutes and 34 seconds or less. Bonus points if that person was wearing a muted button-down shirt/pullover sweater combo in the middle of a bustling cubicle farm.
AZGG, with just the right mix of Teh Funny and vicious cheap shot, gets the COW vote. Plus, we’ll finally find out why Joe Jonas and Taylor Swift broke it off. Was it too much, too soon? I say yes.
I will vote for AZGG if I get to read about Joe Jonas and Taylor Swift.
Yes, AZGG, but I’d rather hear a scouting report on the new sod that got put down on the field in Goodyear this week. 83 days until pitchers and catchers report…
I find myself in western Wisconsin on the first leg of my tri-state tour. My connection this week will be somewhat spotty (you know the state of Iowa and its resistance to technology…)
Captain Video breaks down the Prep Bowl. Uses the phrases “brains and brawn” and “rarin’ to go,” because that how he roll. Barely mentions Glencoe-Silver Lake, which would be billboard material if any of those hellbeasts could read.

Wi-fi is the devil’s fingertips.
And scoliosis is the Devil’s rollercoaster.
