TFD: Corey Brewer and the curse of Good Sports
Posted on December 1st, 2008 – 4:28 PMBy Michael Rand
For those of you who don’t know yet, second-year Timberwolves player and amateur golfer Corey Brewer is out for the season with a torn ACL. That’s a shame because whatever you thought of him on the court — he was improving this year, but his offensive game still has a ways to go, we think — he is a good guy and was the original guest on Good Sports, the controversial video program that we had a hand in over the summer. Brewer was affable, easy to work with and, yes, really bad at golf. We can only hope this doesn’t start a domino effect of injuries and other malfeasance. Just to be safe, we would ask Adam Weber to tie his shoes extra tight for a while. Anyway, in honor of Mr. Brewer, here is a link to that initial Good Sports episode. Love that long, loopy swing.

Back to the last post a bit, but have the unclaimed Randball shirts been auctioned/used as rags/cut into wife-beaters yet? I would still like to pay for mine (and can add an interest charge) to have it for the holidays. Can you send me an e-mail in that regard, Rand?
And after you send UofM2010 his customer service email, please send me one as well. You’re very kind.
that reminds me … there are several unpaid shirts sitting and collecting dust. There is also one that I have received a check for but haven’t doled out (Clarence, it might be yours). I’ll try to get those cleared up in the next few days. Also, we are nearing the two-year RandBall Anniversary date. Time for another redactular, maybe at Lyle’s this time?
RE: Shirt. One of those is mine, I think. Would it be okay to pay for it at the Holiday Redactular?
(Also, the sooner the date is set, the sooner I can make the necessary arrangements, so if a date is determined in the next 2-3 days, all the better.)
As long as it’s not this Thursday, Friday, or Saturday, I should be able to make any scheduled redactular.
Rand
One of the above shirts is mine. I sent you a couple of emails a few weeks back and didn’t hear from you. I assumed you were mad and we weren’t friends any more. I already set a voodoo hex on you so if we are friends again and I can still get the shirt let me know ASAP. Thanks and don’t blame me for any upcoming hair loss.
The unknown check is not mine. I don’t think I got a t-shirt order submitted, and I wasn’t on the t-shirt order roster that was posted in September. Maybe the next round of orders?
