Furcal just turned down a 4 year $36 million contract from the A’s. Just guessing, but I don’t see the Twins offering him half of that deal.

I was the poor sap at Saturday’s Wolves game, which was actually fun in a ridiculous, “it can’t possibly get any worse than this” sort of way. There wasn’t a whole lot of chanting for Wittman’s ouster, actually, though there were plenty more shenanigans from the bored n’ frustrated fan base.

I wrote a sprawling recap, to be (hopefully) posted later today.

Just preliminary stuff on MLBTradeRumors.com. I think the news was that the Astros are putting him on the market, and that the Twins might be an interested team.

There’s also talk of Furcal, but considering that he’s received little to no attention from teams, I get the feeling that he’s not worth whatever money he’s asking for.
