Wow--that's the most blatant spamming on this blog since...well, since either Rocket mentioned he wrote a book, or since I mentioned that I have a football blog at http://www.zoneblitz.com.

Like Mark's blog? Check out the video blog/show Gopher men's basketball player Travis Busch hosts with team reporter Zach Eisendrath - The What Else? Show at www.whatelsemedia.com.

It's just as pointless and humorous and it's about a Gopher. What's not to like?

From a Dec. 26th post-

"We are currently staying in The Blackwell, an on campus hotel, in preparation for our game tomorrow against West Virginia. Kyle, Danny, and I are following our usual night before game routine of hanging out in our room, watching TV, and discussing whether or not we could individually drink a gallon of milk in an hour. Danny and I always get pizza and I always make Danny order because calling a pizza place is a top five phobia of mine. The rest of the top five phobias (in order) are dogophobia (fear of dogs), heightsaphobia (fear of heights), losingmyredoinkulouslywetjumpshotphobia (fear of losing my redoinkulously wet jumpshot), and chipotlegoingoutofbusinessphobia (fear of Chipotle going out of business)."

If you're not reading Club Trillion, you're missing out.

I’m so pleased that, for once, the Weekend Links actually led to something positive.

Especially after all those people died last year.

Clarence, I have a feeling Club Trillion has Ladies Night every day of the week. The game points he loses for not being a regular contributor on the court are more than made up for in the attention that he gets off it.

"They gave me a call and saw me play, and I was at least decent enough to help out. I thought it would be a three-week thing or something. But I pushed the right buttons or something and two-and-a-half years later I’m still here."

If I didn't know, I would have guessed that quote was written by Tarvaris Jackson. Good interview. I walked-on in college (and walked-off with a short-lived and uneventful career). It was nowhere near the level of the Big Ten, but the coaches still treated walk-ons with only slightly less contempt and/or indifference than the equipment managers and janitorial staff. But you still appreciate the opportunity and experience. He does have a unique perspective with lots of opportunity for humor. He gets all of the player perks, without any of the pressure of playing a significant role. And he still found a way to attract a fan base. Brilliant. If he has found a way to parlay this into luck with the co-eds, he might be the smartest man alive.
