If I didn’t know, I would have guessed that quote was written by Tarvaris Jackson. Good interview. I walked-on in college (and walked-off with a short-lived and uneventful career). It was nowhere near the level of the Big Ten, but the coaches still treated walk-ons with only slightly less contempt and/or indifference than the equipment managers and janitorial staff. But you still appreciate the opportunity and experience. He does have a unique perspective with lots of opportunity for humor. He gets all of the player perks, without any of the pressure of playing a significant role. And he still found a way to attract a fan base. Brilliant. If he has found a way to parlay this into luck with the co-eds, he might be the smartest man alive.
