I think more importantly, the Vikings need a RT, playmaking safety, a cornerback to push Ced Griffin into Nickel/Dime situations and No. 2 receiver.

If they continue with the FB position in that offense, I would say one of those too. Pass to Tahi for -2!

I would love to see Tarvaris come back, a bit more polished, and with something to prove.

Our O-Line lost the second half of that game and Tarvaris had a bad 2nd half (and one throw) against a very cryptic defense.

With that said, I would love to see us pick up another vet who is a bit more mobile than Frerotte and draft another rookie.

Get rid of Booty. He's worthless.

Wait, so it's okay that Vick killed dogs, because they aren't people? Wow, thanks for the news flash. Dogs aren't people. That completely makes it okay!

Or maybe there are some of us who think that killing dogs for fun isn't a hobby that a good person has, and we aren't going to pay money to watch such a person play a game.

If the Vikings sign Vick, they're basically giving a huge middle finger to their fans who actually care about things beyond beating their chests and yelling obscenities at visiting fans. And in that case, I'll simply stop giving them my money, and everyone wins.

Birk's best days are behind him and I'm sick of his errant snaps. Hopefully Sullivan is who I think he is....

Why not let the Pats keep Cassell and try and get Brady? He may not be ready for next year but would be a great tutor for JDB or another young QB. If nto Brady, how about trying to get Troy Smith from Baltimore? He ahas been in the league for 3 years and could probably get him pretty cheap. He won't be seeing any playing time anytime soon behind Flacco.

If you are questioning Garcia and his age, why not just call Fran the Man, Kramer or Bradshaw. Any one of them is probably a better bet than T-Jack or Frerotte.

On another note, Chilly and Bevel need to go. Their offense has no imagination and if you recall while Chilly was in Philly, Reid called ALL of the offensive plays. Reid is probably the one that developed McNabb as well.

210 comments later, all I can say is how glad I am I didn't read the previous 209.

All I know is Slingin' Sammy Baugh is out of the picture. As is Sid Luckman. In other words, may as well go with Booty.

Hey, JL I did state the obvious. I said, to draft Tebow... I'd still love to see Farve play one year here though just to tick off the cheeseheads.

About Vick: I'd love to see how he does... for another team. He's not a great QB anyway. Plus, my young kids (and their dogs) have him ranked right there with Hitler and Bin Laden, so it would be tough to get them to watch a game with me.

I like David Carr. His first years were spent getting hammered, (not the fun kind) by a poor Houston line. He's proven to be tough, and he looked better than Manning, (either one of them) against the Vikes. I think the time spent on the sidelines has also improved his game mentally.

Remember, he was a number one pick a few years ago. If he's available, the Vikes could not only have the veteran QB they so desparately need, but they'd have a guy young enough to maybe the the future of the franchise.

Without a great free agent QB deal, the Vikes are going to be also-rans again next year. They can't contend without one. I like T-Jack, but he needs to fill a dual role, like "Slash" did for the Steelers a few years ago.

Lastly, and sadly... Without fixing that horrible right side of the line, and maybe replacing that big stone monument we have at left tackle, any QB we have under center is going to get mauled. Gotta keep Birk, too. If the Vikes let a great LOCAL boy go, I'm gonna root for whoever's playing against them.
