Just got back from the Twins’ annual preseason luncheon, where G.M. Bill Smith announced the signing of Manny Ramirez. Either that, or he said something to the effect of *it’s been a busy off-season, with the net result being almost nothing.* (He really did say that, and it drew a good laugh). Jerry Bell gave a stadium update, and it really was fascinating (seriously) to listen to the small details that go into stadium construction. He noted that the team will soon have to hire a groundskeeper. Haven’t had one of those for a while. Most importantly, though, we were tipped off to another fine highlight video from the Twins’ Winter Caravan. Where does a dancing T.C. Bear absolutely slay an audience? Pine City, that’s where. (Off-topic update: We’re told ESPN2’s Stephen Bardo had a rather colorful description of the West Virginia/Georgetown game sometime after the Gophers/Purdue broadcast on ESPN2. Did anyone else hear that, and/or would anyone have a DVR of it?)
