So: Who wasn’t on steroids?

juice.jpgNow that Alex Rodriguez — who seemingly came out of the womb hitting home runs and for the most part avoided this steroids mess throughout his career — has been called a cheater by Sports Illustrated, it is time to put together a definitive list. No, we’re not talking about the list of juicers. We’re talking about a list of non-juicers. As in, “there’s just no way that guy was taking steroids.” We offer, as exhibit A, former Pirates and Braves shortstop Rafael Belliard. He is our No. 1 draft pick. Raffy (as we ‘91 Atlanta fans knew him) was a slick glove man. He also hit a total of two home runs in 2,301 career at bats. Not only that, he had a career slugging percentage of .259. Think about that, Brandon. He is listed as being 5-6, 150 pounds. Frankly, that seems about two inches and 15 pounds generous. Though we have no proof, we would like to say conclusively: Rafael Belliard — not a steroid abuser. Your draft picks in the comments, please.
