Wednesday (USA vs. Mexico) edition: Wha’ Happened?
Posted on February 11th, 2009 – 8:57 AMBy Michael Rand
As those of you who follow the non-American version of football already know, there is a rather large contest tonight: USA vs. Mexico in a World Cup qualifying match. SuperRookie and Jon, two of the most rabid soccer fans on this blog (and perhaps the planet?) are putting out the [Redacted] signal for a last-minute viewing party at Grumpy’s in Roseville. You are hereby informed and warned. Match starts at 6 p.m.; first goal at 7:30. Kidding! Seriously, though: Who ya like?
*Brett Favre is going to retire. Again. No, really. He means it.
*Today’s words of Twitter wisdom from M.C. Hammer (sic): “I’m feeling myself…Ran to and thru the airport… Danced while I waited for my luggage …legs strong…heart stonger !!”
*Perhaps this will bring an end to that annoying commenter crawl.
*Life without Big Al is not going to be pretty. Good news is those $3 seats could be in the fourth row by the time the season is over. More later from Brandon, who was there and continued the fine tradition of e-mail a photo from his adjusted halftime seats with the word “upgrade!” as the subject.
*Fasola-link! But we still can’t decide whether or not to ford the river.
