Adrian Peterson tries his hand at “Let’s Play Hockey,” and should probably stick to football

You have to love Adrian Peterson’s willingness to head into foreign territory — Xcel Energy Center for last night’s Wild game — to perform the pregame Let’s Play Hockey ritual. But as our own Michael Russo wrote, well:
Vikings running back Adrian Peterson did the traditional “Let’s Play Hockey.” After practicing it a number of times in the press box, he fouled up the verbiage dramatically.
After searching for video evidence this morning, the Wild has come through and put it on its web site. Classic. That’s all we can say. Keep in mind that all one has to say is “Let’s Play Hockey.”

Would that be equivalent to starting the Indy 500 with: “Guy’s, Turn on Your cars!”?
Make rocket go fast now.
“Batting… next, the guy who stands in, uh, the middle - the center - field, Kirbeeeeeeeee Puckett!”
[swear words]
I DON’T KNOW WHAT WE’RE YELLING ABOUT!
This reminds me of when Jeff Gordon sang “Take Me Out To the Ballgame” to the crowd at Wrigley Stadium [sic].
I think Paula Abdul would like this because he really made it his own.
Letttt’s get ready to start rumblinggggg
Adrian Peterson would be destroy people if he played in the NHL.
Peterson runs into the end zone for a six pointer.

Not on skates, he wouldn’t.
Still not nearly as bad as Pawlenty’s try…
And boom goes the dynamite.
