TFD: Playoffs? Playoffs? Get your Wild tickets …
Posted on April 9th, 2009 – 4:58 PMBy Michael Rand
Yes, we know this is routine business, but it still struck Fasolamatt a little odd when he received this notice in his electronic mailbox today from the Wild:
Based on the outcome of games played earlier this week and the pending results of Friday’s games, we are making plans to put single game tickets for the first round of the 2009 Stanley Cup playoffs on sale on Monday, April 13 at 10 AM.
As a Wild Warming House Member, you have the opportunity to purchase 2009 NHL Stanley Cup Playoff tickets, prior to the general public.
• Your exclusive presale will take place: Friday, April 10 beginning at 10 AM
• The first three (3) home games of Round 1 will be on sale at this time
• There is a four (4) ticket limit per game
• Inventory is limited for each game.
Again, we know this is a routine thing, even if the Wild is a long shot to make the playoffs. But it would be kind of amusing if you, say, ordered your tickets tomorrow and then watched the Wild get eliminated from contention that very night against Nashville from the comfort of your Xcel Energy seats. Wait, would that be funny to you? Maybe that’s not the right word.
Get out and enjoy the sunshine. Thanks for playing the RandBall Feud today. Wait, we didn’t do that today? Shocking.

It would be equally hilarious to watch the $100 you just spent on Ticketmaster fees get flushed down the proverbial toilet since those a-holes won’t refund it
Yeah, it worked really well when the Timberwolves sent out playoff tickets with the season tickets. That just about jinxed the entire team. I think the only thing left unjinxed was Mike Miller’s hair, but some would say that was bad luck from the start.
Mike Miller = ugliest man in the NBA. I heasitate calling him a man.
roughcat - don’t let my friend Sam beat you in fantasy baseball. He’s a [redacted] Braves fan.
Adam: Are you leaving out Sam Cassell because he’s clearly an alien and not a man?
Chris Kaman is offended that you don’t include him in the conversation. Although being a Vampire, he won’t be around for a few hours.
Dave,
At least Sam Cassell is a good player even though he’s from some unknown, distant universe.
