TCTOD: NFL draft position and the hype factor

Lattewarrior brings you today’s talker. Have at it, sir:
———————–
How much does PR factor into where a player is drafted?
For instance, whichever agency represents Mark Sanchez is worth their weight in Ripped Fuel as over the past week I’ve heard him on Dan Patrick, Mike and Mike, Colin Cowherd and Jim Rome. In every interview he’s come off as polished, likable and confident.
So, is it any coincidence that Sanchez is now moving up draft boards, drawing man-crush interest from Dan Snyder and the Redskins, Jacksonville and even Seattle at No. 4? A month ago he was maybe Top 15. Now, suddenly, he’s a lock for Top 10. What changed? To my knowledge there haven’t been any workouts over that span so there has to be something to the “it factor” created by media buzz, right?

And if you hate Lattewarrior, Mark Sanchez or our freedom, feel free to alternately discuss this whole Jesse Crain on the DL + Jose Mijares getting called up thing.
