Much was made of the big Twitter “battle” between Ashton Kutcher and CNN to see which could get to 1 million followers first. (In case you missed it, Ashton won that battle … and perhaps the war against an informed republic). Well, traipsing across the Intertubes today, we stumbled onto two local Twitterers who could create another epic competition: Brian Cardinal and Tim Brewster. As of right this moment, the hustling Wolves forward has 774 followers. The Gophers head football coach has 771. We’ll say the benchmark is 1,500, which is about double both of their current totals. The race is on! First one to 1,500 gets a RandBall t-shirt. Go! Tweet like the wind!
