In light of the recent terrible news concerning The Reckless Chucker possibly becoming a Minnesota Viking (which I’m firmly against), I’d like to pose a discussion topic to your basement-dwelling readership. Minnesota fans have a long history of talking themselves into newly acquired players long past their prime, offering their Polyanna-esque viewpoint that said athlete may find his fountain of youth here in Minnesota and return to glory. As we know, this almost never happens. The aging athlete stinks, and the rest of us have to deal with yet another disappointment.

Here is the topic: name the athletes who fit this criterion. I’ve got about a dozen examples in my holster, but I’d love to hear the RandBallers’ selections. List away, friends, and try not to cry while doing so.
