jinx.jpgAnyone who reads this blog regularly knows that we tend to be pretty superstitious when it comes to sports. Therefore, we must ask the question: is it something we’re doing, Twins? See, we’re slated to attend our fourth Twins game of the season tonight. The standings tell us the Twins are 16-17 overall and 12-9 at home. Broken down differently, though, you might say the Twins are 12-6 at home when we’re not there, and 0-3 at home when we are there. Making matters worse: In the two games we had tickets for but couldn’t make it to, the Twins have scored a combined 20 runs in two victories (including the Kubel cycle/grand slam game). Granted, that’s a pretty small sample size. But when you add it onto our record when seeing the Twins on the road (something abysmal like 4-14 or something like that), we’re starting to wonder: are we the problem? We’re hoping to get some answers tonight.

Questions:

1) What should we do if we keep going to games and the Twins keep losing? Should we even be putting this out there, for fear that Ron Gardenhire and/or Justin Morneau might spy us entering the Dome, usher us out and duct tape us to the backside of Hubert’s?

2) Have you ever felt like a sports jinx? Explain.

3) What’s gotten into Joe Mauer?

Fasola-link! Shoe map. Strange.

Also: Please note Merx’s RandBall Feud standings. Discuss.
