You go away for two weeks, and when you come back there are Terrell Brandon and Rasho Nesterovic bobbleheads on your desk
Posted on July 6th, 2009 – 1:38 PMBy Michael Rand
Sometime between 5 p.m. on June 25 and 9:30 a.m. on July 6, someone put two new bobbleheads on our desk. OK, the bobbleheads themselves are not new, but they are new to us. They were, in order of what we noticed first, the statistically gifted and strangely infuriating Terrell Brandon and the serviceable, don’t-know-what-you’ve-got-until-it’s-gone Rasho Nesterovic.
We have no idea who did it, but it has our mind scattering in a few different directions — one of which could wind up in print tomorrow.
For now, though, this:
1) What is the strangest piece of sports memorabilia you own?
2) Have you ever been given such a random pair of bobbleheads anonymously?

Those bobbleheads really don’t mesh with your desk’s Random Assortment of Tupperware theme.
A Kent Hrbek bobblehead appeared at Chris Reusse’s desk the other day … Patrick left it for him. He also said it was the first time a former Turkey of the Year had been made into a bobblehead.
OK I give up, who really posted that last comment?
Rand,
Page 2 has missed you. Tell Stensass that the tennis U.S. open hasn’t been played yet.
/I know, I’m the last person that should be giving editorial advice.
Next vacation, you’ll be left with Bracey Wright, and after that it’ll be Doug West… when Rashad McCants appears, it’s time to pack your desk.

@Stu: Not to mention the usual “37 disused pop/water bottles which are festering with various fungi” motif.
@Ken, the Guy Who Yells At Sid On the Phone: I have enjoyed your occasional stewardship of Page 2. Please organize a brawl with Rand for control.
@Rand: Nobody ever anonymously gives us random schlubs cool stuff. (Pause for reference to Joker, Vegas, and the movie “The Hangover.” That comes back with you.)
I enjoyed Mr. Stensaas’ Page 2 article on Cannon Falls.
Wait, Rand’s important enough that they replace him in the paper, but not important enough to sub in someone on the dot com side? Whazzupwiththat?
