Item: Did you know that we have a band with Diddy called “The Commentary?” Only this band doesn’t actually play any songs. All we do is think up clever song titles? It’s true! Don’t steal our band name. We’re going to be good someday. The breakthrough hit will probably be “My name is Bob, but you can call me Robert.”

Item: The commentary around here at RandBall is second-to-none. We really believe that. As such, we want to use this day — a day in which we might post once more, or we might not post again at all because vacation duty calls — as an open invitation/casting call for you to give us the best of your best material in the comments on any subject you lie. This is kind of like what Clarence and Ramon do anyway.

Item: If you need some structure in your life, perhaps a nice discussion about the Minnesota Twins would be in order. Their second half begins tomorrow. Do they have the juice to win the AL Central? (Yes). Do they have the team effort required to win the AL Central (not sure). Is the bullpen really not as bad as everyone thought? (Yes). How many home runs will Joe Mauer finish with? (21). Can Nick Blackburn continue to ascend? (The Twins had better hope so).

Have at it. We’ll (hopefully) do a little more consistent posting here tomorrow. Stu has somewhat promised some enticing content. So we have that to get us through the drive.
