favrevick.jpgWe’ve had most of a day to digest the Brett Favre news. We’ve listened to a few good friends use a Tony Bernazard-esque term to describe Favre. We are convinced that if he was a grudgingly respected former rival at one point, he is now unconditionally one of the most hated — if not the most hated — Minnesota sports opponent in history.

That said, the story didn’t end yesterday. The Vikings will be feeling the effects of this decision for days, months and possibly years. Here are some of those questions:

*What happens if a couple of weeks pass and Favre changes his mind again?

*How much is Brad Childress to blame for the way this played out? Should he be given a pass for making a bold move and playing it out as fas as he could, or does he take the fall if it eventually plays a role in derailing this season?

*Who exactly is the starting quarterback right now? Sure, much of that will be sorted out in training camp (as it always seems to be), but if you had to say who is No. 1 and who is No. 2 right now, what would your answer be?

*If you could get your hands on a bootleg Favre Vikings jersey, would you wear it for humorous effect even if you were a Vikings fan who was thoroughly disgusted by the entire series of events?

*Does the name Michael Vick even enter the picture? Does that interest you at all?
