Hey all: RandBall has moved to a new server. You’ll notice a lot of new things over there, including a different picture, a different way to comment and a different way to read posts. Basically, we’ve kicked the WordPress habit. It was good for us for the better part of three years, but it was time for a switch. Don’t fear change! Just follow us over there and earn valuable reading prizes.
Update: And yes, you will have to update your RSS … which we’re told you can do right here.

Well the new format will definitely keep all AV commenters out. Congratulations if that was your intent.
FYI. The new server uses your startribune.com “Login” name for commenting. I don’t want to create a new login name, so all of my comments will be under “Hairless_Twink_69″ from now on.
I am confused by, and fear, change.
Great, that’s like 4-5 favorites/bookmarks/links I have to change. It better be worth it!
Clarence, your hilarity had better translate on the new server. I don’t want to have to go into word to figure out what you wrote using wingdings

Dear Mr. Star Tribune login man,
I know I have registered with you. You just sent me an email with my password. Apparently, however we cannot agree on what my user name is. As well the emails I have seem to be registered already. I’m sure you will say this is my fault and I should pay attention when I sign up for websites, but I say to you BAH!

I thought I was being PC until I realized I started with the “Mr.”. Oh well. I think I’m going to be the last regular to move over. I hate moving plus it’s obvious this login person doesn’t want me to join the cool club.
Perhaps we should infiltrate another blog, jama. World of B is sometimes sweet.

Let me get this straight–when I click on Sports –> Blogs –> RandBall, I still get sent to the old blog?
So the Strib’s crack IT staff is smart enough to build the crappy new system, and institute automatic refreshes and contentless Page 3’s on stories to increase impression counts for advertising sales, but not smart enough to change the old link?
