Youtube Love

Your Youtube love of the day

You’ll probably see this way too much in the next two weeks, so you might as well get the first viewing out of the way. Yes, it’s the Super Bowl Shuffle, circa the 1985 Bears. That’s. Just. Ridiculous. The part we really enjoy, though, is how at all times it looks as though they’re dancing to seven different songs. That’s what you get for involving Jim McMahon.

More staples … or more glue … or something!

We saw this on Deadspin earlier today, as did one of our readers. It is, indeed, amazing. We’ll provide the link to this crazy Youtube love of a gust of wind carrying sign boards onto a soccer field in South Africa via Stephen Hawking’s Football Boots. We don’t imagine Deadspin needs our help. But seriously, check out the link. It’s a little frightening, like trying to imagine playing soccer as you decompress coming out of the Metrodome, except with huge boards flying around.

Sorry, we don’t mean to pick on anybody or open up old wounds — wait, yes we do. Here’s the end of Gophers vs. Wisconsin a couple of years ago. Say whatever you want about the new guy, but the old guy produced way too many games like this — enough, that at a certain point, it wasn’t a coincidence.Â

Sorry, this Super Bowl is underwear-only

Britney Spears will not be part of the halftime festivities at this year’s Super Bowl, thanks in part to the fact that computer literate teenage boys across the world have seen the place her babies came from. (NY Daily News, via The Big Lead). But hey, Tom Brady should have no worries if he makes it to the big game again. Apparently, he’s a hit with supermodel Gisele Bundchen (though we’re still not sure what threshold one has to cross to go from “model” to “supermodel.”) And if this youtube clip can be trusted, Tom wears underpants. (This clip contains material that might be considered “PG-13″ in a movie setting. Use your own discretion).
