Booty?!?!?! Really? Did any of you see any of the preseason? He was AWFUL! I know he is a rookie and whatever, but it looked like he had never played football before. He'll be lucky if he's a lifetime 3rd QB. Too bad for him the Arena League is out of business this season.

STOP! Anybody who has mentioned Culpepper or Favre should be punched in the ear. Until we have a RT that can do more than drool we can't have a leftie at QB. A long as Mt. McKinnie stay's out of prison, we should have a rightie at QB. Jackson ain't that bad. (Insert boo/hiss here) He's really not. Hotlanta got lucky with their rookie QB. LUCKY. It doesn't happen often. McNabb, no thanks. Garica, no thanks. Cassell, overrated. (My mom could throw for 4000 yards on that offense) Ditch Ferrotte or trade him, package some of our picks and go after one of the good QB's in the draft. Vick could potentially be dangerous with AP and CT next to him, but would we really want that baggage? My dog would HATE that. (She just won't ever forgive him) I think at this point we should be more concerned about the players that are leaving and moving on to, yet again, a new Defensive coord. How far can Cowher throw a football?

Hasselbeck would be my first choice, because he knows the west-coast offense and probably wouldn't cost too much, but only if he's healthy and the Vikings can keep him that way. He missed time early this year with a bulging disk in his back, returned for a couple weeks, then got sacked 7 times by the Cowboys and never played again. Meanwhile, the Vikings gave up more sacks than all but a half-dozen or so teams, and the (supposedly) more mobile Jackson was sacked just as frequently as the immobile Frerotte. So if the Vikings decide to trade for Hasselbeck, the first thing they should do is sign Jordan Gross away from Carolina. I'm not sure if Gross is a Pro Bowler, but he's very good, still fairly young, and I think he can play both OT spots, so he would be a huge upgrade over Cook at ROT and a terrific insurance policy at LOT in case McKinnie screws up again.

Dungeons & Dragons Gamer < Sports Card Collector. And by < of course I mean less likely to fornicate with a real life girl.

I am/was both. Sigh.

Favorite All-Time Sports Cards:

1) Charles Barkley 1986-87 Fleer rookie card

2) Herschel Walker New Jersey Generals 1985 Topps USFL rookie card

3) Fred Lynn 1975 Topps rookie card (other rookie outfielders featured: Terry Whitfield, Tom Poquette and Ed Armbrister).
