Miscellaneous reading from the world o’ transportation:
- The Crookston Daily Times reminds us that a statewide effort to encourage seat belt use begins today.
- The Associated Press has taken a look at Minnesota’s transportation funding amendment. Strangely enough, I first ran across the story here, in the Contra Costa Times of California, but today it’s also here, on the Pioneer Press website.
- Folks over in western Wisconsin are starting to talk about various rail options, including a commuter rail line linking Eau Claire to the Twin Cities. The Dunn County News tells us more here.
- A national effort would limit the speed of new trucks to 68 miles per hour; a McClatchy News Service story is here.
- And I meant to link to this earlier, but the October issue of the Rake has a car-friendly look at a drive-in church across the river from Stillwater.
