- From MnDOT: If you’re handy with a cement trowel, the state might have a job for you — the Crosstown reconstruction. Officials are again taking bids for the mammoth project, and this time they’re not asking anyone to pay for it first. Click here.
- From buzz.mn: Parking concerns have quashed a proposal for a Trader Joe’s store in downtown Minneapolis. Also in Minneapolis, the HOURCAR service now has a shared car stationed in the North Loop area.
- From the Pioneer Press: The possible restoration of passenger rail service between the Twin Cities and Duluth may bring the trains to Minneapolis instead of St. Paul.
- From the Strib: St. Paul and other communities are trying various strategies to get drivers to slow down. Many students in Lakeville would have to walk up to two miles to school if the district cuts bus service. The Fixit column takes a look at those flashing white lights atop traffic signals.
