Five photos and four questions

We’ve been a little heavy on the text this week — there are more than 12,000 words in yesterday’s comments section alone. So for our Friday, let’s lighten up with a few photos from the CrapCam archive, with accompanying questions for you, the Roadguy reader.
1. Vehicular etiquette: When one encounters a parked motorcycle whose owner has left the headlight on…

… or, more curiously, has failed to turn off the turn signal …

… what is the proper thing to do? Roadguy wanted to try to turn off both electrical devices in order to save each cycle’s battery, but he feared setting off an alarm or, worse, tipping the bikes over. Motorcycle riders, please advise.
2. Roadguy wondered about the functionality of this contraption:

It’s called a Peddle Paddle, and late one night Roadguy noticed it inside a mostly vacant storefront just off Nicollet Mall. The paddles on the spokes didn’t look very big, but there seemed to be plenty of buoyant material. Have you ever used such a device, perhaps on your most recent crossing of the English Channel? Tell us all about it.
3. Next, a little something for the grammar Nazis zealots in the crowd:

Roadguy appreciates the sentiment, but the sign really should say “drive safely.” Oh well. The question: Where in the Twin Cities did Roadguy take the photo?
4. We conclude with a rhetorical question: How do some people get driver’s licenses when they can’t even park?

This one was truly a gift, as it was plainly visible from Roadguy’s place of residence. I’m a Moron magnet, even when I don’t leave the house.
Have a safe, Moron-free weekend. And keep those words a-comin’.
