  • Who’s who: The Pioneer Press offers profiles of key figures in the state’s transportation debate: Tim Pawlenty, Carol Molnau, Bernie Lieder, Steve Murphy, Mary Liz Holberg, and Ron Erhardt. (These appeared as a package in the printed newspaper; for some reason, the online headlines were a bit strange when I last looked.)
  • Slow traffic ahead: A Strib story about the famed devil’s triangle is here.
  • PRT: A south suburban newspaper takes this look at personal rapid transit.
  • Ahoy there, transit riders: Alert reader Alex B. sent along this link to a series of videos called “Bus Pirates.” Roadguy only had time to watch two of the five episodes, but he’s pretty sure nothing like this has ever happened aboard Metro Transit.
  • Two from the New York Times: A look at the proliferation and dangers of in-vehicle distractions is here, while a recounting of a “drive” from New York to Paris in 1908 can be found here. (The race is being repeated this year — be sure to let Roadguy know if you enter.)
