Momma wasn’t thrown into the road after all

Here’s some kerosene for the fire that’s been smoldering in this earlier post for the past week:

Hmm, so all my “speculation” was dead-on, right down to her being on the phone.
Ahh, vindication is sweet indeed. How’s the crow tasting, jt?
What a lying piece of scum. She almost kills the guy, then has the nerve to take him to task. Pathetic.
Now I hope it’s HER that burns for this.
Good job Morg, but you were still jumping to conclusions. Many people on this blog were suspicious of her story - and for good reason.
I’d like to hear from all of the people who were defending this woman, jumping to conclusions about the truck driver, and berating the rest of us for not immediately siding with the woman.
See my post on the original story…. I stand corrected, my apologies.
OK, here’s why I sided with the woman:
I thought there was an eyewitness that said she was ‘flying through the air’ and landed in the freeway. I based my opinion only on that.
Now… I don’t believe anything. I will drive and bike defensively, and be aware that anyone can go bananas at any time. And that anyone can say whatever they feel.
I just hope that someday, we can just get a few billboards or public announcements on TV that road rage is not sexy and cool. Show people just relaxing and driving to the oldies or something.
Yes, I am eating some crow, but it’s the diet version. Pass the salt.
Right on Morg!
Excerpts from all the bleeding heart liberals who rushed to judgement:
Tommy: “When they find this clown they are also going to find a guy who seriously abuses his wife and children. Guaranteed.”
Barry: “The only way for the truck driver to win this is to prove ’self-defense.’ Good luck. Even if she called him every four-letter word under the sun, he will serve some time for his actions.”
Barry: “Nothing is being hyped up–She was thrown into traffic. That’s what happened”
jbd: “He sounds like a real winner to me, beating up a woman”
Curmudgeon Geographer: “It will be a nice day when this fool-in-a-pickup is found”
jdb: “REREAD your threads and listen to some other show than KQ to get your facts, then try to make an intelligent comments rather than speculation and drivel……”
Well, well, well. Turns out SHE has some sort of problem.
I disagree, Joe. I wasn’t jumping to conclusions as much as I was just putting reasoned thought into how this could have plausibly unfolded. Turns out I was right. I never stated anything as truth, but I was very forthright that it was my theory as to how it unfolded. I just never believed her. Just watching her video, I could read her like a children’s book, and the fact she was lying.
Now, as for the judge, jury and executioners who had this guy convicted, their side was stated as truth based on bias and stereotyping of Stupid Men in Pickups. Inexcusable.
I wouldn’t want them on a jury of my “peers”. “He drives a pickup? GUILTY!!!!”.
Rush to judgement, indeed.
At this point, I won’t beleive one word from either one of them. I am not even sure whether to believe eye-witnesses anymore.
Time for some Big Brother cameras all over, until we can all learn to calm down a notch, and enjoy the ride–instead of re-enacting some kinda video game.
The fact still remains that he apparently did push her down. Bad driving is no excuse for that.
Right on, Barry. The eyewitnesses had the guy anywhere from 5′4, 160 lbs. to 6′4, 260, and the truck had more descriptions than a used-car lot.
Doesn’t give me a lot of faith in eyewitnesses…
The whole event is sad. Momma’s a few bricks short of a wheelbarrow; guy with fam in tow stops to give the what-for to a bad and self-admittedly inattentive driver…
The losers in this scenario are the kids who had to sit by and watch their parents - their role models and protectors - go scooter-crunch over a U-Turn. Rev up the therapy bus - it’s filling fast.
I agree with you in some ways Barry, but I’d also contend that the quality of driving is disgusting. Sitting back and enjoying the ride would be great if everyone followed the rules. No turn signals, cell phones, blatantly running read lights, cutting people off for no reason, putting makeup on while driving, driving slow in the left lane, merging without looking, not yielding to the flow of traffic, etc, etc ,etc… I think there is a complete at total LACK of personal responsibility these days and I’m tired of it. I will never drive a sub-compact car, no matter how much gas costs because I’d rather pay through the teeth to drag and extra 3000lbs around and be a responsible driver than risk dying everything I need to go to work. Having a driver’s license used to be looked on as being a privilege…I really don’t trust anyone on the road these days.
It absolutley blows my mind that the legislature does not outlaw talking on cell phones while driving. Everyday on my commute I can pick out the cars on their cell phones. They are the ones swerving, tapping their brakes constantly, and switching lanes without signaling. This lady should have the book thrown at her for reckless driving and then lying to law enforcement, what a pig!
Are there not charges for lying to police during an investigation? Just think if this guy faced felony charges.
Okay, listen: She gets 1-year behind bars for being on a cell phone while drive, plus 1-year for doing a u-turn on a major highway, plus 2-years for driving while on heavy pain medication, plus 4-years if she was driving a mini van and it was red.
Mmm… My crow is not too bad. Tastes like chicken. (burp!)
She should be ashamed of herself
Well, as expected, there’s always “more to the story.” In addition to a long list of punishments that should befall this woman, I’d like to see a heavy backlash at the news media that were all-too-happy to put her front and center, playing the victim, for God only knows what reason.
WOW … how come we call this “changing her story” and not “outright lying”? And yet she still spent 3 days in the hospital following this incident???? What’s with that?
When I originally heard the story I felt a twinge of sympathy for the victim, but the longer I thought about it my sympathies changed to the pickup driver and what a monster he was being made out to be.
I pictured myself in that situation; someone’s careless/thoughtless act nearly cost not only my life but that of my wife and children. I’d be a little ticked off also, and I don’t care if it was Mother Teresa or the Pope in the other vehicle I’d have a tantrum too.
While I am sorry she got hurt, I hope they see that she gets a ticket – illegal use of lane, failure to yield right of way….etc.
Why did she pull over?
Why did she get out of car?
Why was she still on her cell phone?
Why don’t they bring back the death penalty for these types of crimes?
Put down the cell phones, quit fiddling with your I-pods and focus on keeping the one ton of metal in between the lines and flowing with traffic.
This woman’s complete lack of respect for others and awareness of what’s going on in the real world around her almost caused yet another traffic fatality that could have been avoided. A simple push to the ground is nothing compared to how she would have felt had she been crushed by pulling out in front of an oncoming vehicle cruising along at 60+ mph.
Hopefully she learns from this and shares her newly found insights with all her friends, co-workers, neighbors, etc. so that we can all begin to feel a little safer on the road once people actually start focusing on their primary objective when in a moving vehicle.
I’ll admit I’m guilty of assuming that the other driver was completely in the wrong. I guess the lesson learned from this situation is to be more attentive and courteous on the road.
I’m shocked, SHOCKED, that she was yaking on a cell phone when this incident occurred.
The time has long since passed for a law banning the use of a cell phone when operating a motor vehicle. This law will greatly improve traffic flow and you morons that insist on using these while driving will no longer jeopardize the safety of the traveling public.
What a kook. Here she causes a guy who’s just driving along, obeying traffic laws, to run off the road - with a woman and 2 kids in the car, no less! What audacity (and mental issues) she’s got to fabricate a story to foster sympathy when she very easily could of killed those people. Stoopid wench.
Nothing good can EVER come from stopping your car on the road and confronting another person. Drive away, wait for the shaking to settle down, and complain to your loved ones.
I feel sorry for her children. What a loser. I hope she gets what she deserves. To all you other drivers out there with a phone glued to your face…put them away.
What about these stupid witnesses? I don’t recall exactly where but I remember hearing/seeing a few times that she was “thrown through the air while cars swerved”. What about going after the lying witness who is trying to make this out to be their 15 minutes of fame by blowing this up even more!
I can’t help but wonder if it really did happen the way it was described at first, and this is a clever ploy to take the heat off the truck driver to get him to come forward.
This story taught us not to believe everything we read, maybe there’s another plot twist coming.
Or maybe I’ve just seen too many police dramas on TV.
This is something that happens to me a lot. I am an avid cyclist and motorcyclist, and I respect the law when I ride. Last summer I did a little “mental survey” of near collisions on my motorcycle. Every time I ride, I expect and anticipate being almost hit at least once a day. Last summer, and this will sound biased, and it is but is the TRUTH, about 90 percent of the time I was almost hit been hit was by a woman on a cell phone. I confronted them several times, and was usually met with some smart remark or threat or other non-caring attitude.
Let’s get laws against cell phone use in vehicles.
Blaming liberals for these lies!?! I’d say her stories and BS point to a conservative mind, not a liberal one. come on now. And ugh, what a pig she is. But we can only blame ourselves as a society for not taking liars to task. tsk tsk ourselves!
Anyone know why she was wearing that goofy hat during her interview? Did she say? I wonder now if it’s so the guy wouldn’t recognize her if he saw the report.
Marshall,
Bad driving is not an excuse for pushing her down, but acting irrational and holding the driver door of a car that contains my wife and child is.
Morg, when you’re right, you’re right. Hate to see someone with some personal problems throw others under the bus. Hopefully, the other driver will now feel free to come forward…
Her children must be so proud of their mom. Painkillers, cell phone driving and making a Looie into a busy passing lane on a major highway. Then she manages to get half the town all whipped up looking for a goon in a blue pickup truck. Nice going lady but I’m afraid your 15 minutes are up!
Okay, add another 1-year to her sentence for the goofy hat.
What if she changes her story back? What if she changes it to something else?
With all those injuries she had, something happened to her. Unless she’s faking that, too?
If the dude was in the right, he woulda come forward. They are both out ta lunch.
Speaking of lunch, I am done eating my crow. I admitted jumping to conclusions, and gave my reason.
While road distractions and phones are accidents waiting to happen, aggressive bullying on the road is, in my opinion, the worst: Because of intent. I can’t fault someone for a true oversight, but when a motorist deliberately forces another car or bike off the road, he (or she) should get his butt kicked.
I knew it when it happened and told everyone that. It almost always takes two to tango or…
Those injuries, I think, could’ve happened simply from her falling on her arse/tailbone.
I thought u-turns were only leagal for the Emergency vehicles. I remember her saying she had made a “LEGAL” u-turn.
So, she admits to making a careless U-turn on the highway, without looking (apparently), while on her $&#!@* cellphone, and driving under the influence of pain medication!? She causes the incident, argues with the other driver, physically challenges him, then when there were finally convenient witnesses around, lies to make herself out to be the helpless victim. And the media enabled and consorted with her to further demonize the guy. And so many simple-minded ones out there jumped on the bandwagon to tar-and-feather this guy. I say make a huge example of this stupid little witch! Make her get on the same news shows and admit her guilt. Make the reporters explain why they would give this woman any air-time without the slightest bit of proof or corroboration of her story.
I would like to hand it to the driver of the pickup for avoiding this accident. It appears that he put his car and family in the ditch to avoid slamming into this self-centered fool. If the on-coming vehicle would have been a semi or dump truck she would most likely not have had the chance for her “fifteen minutes”. She should be thanking him rather than playing the victim.
KQ was kissing her butt quite a bit during an interview the next day. I can’t wait to hear what they have to say. She sure was chipper during that interview - like she was having the time of her life. She just couldn’t imagine how the guy treated his wife/kids if he was capable of throwing her out onto the travelled highway. Uh huh…. yeah, right, sweetheart.
When will they get it? Talking on the phone and driving should not be done at the same time!!!!!Ever!!! I would bet that every single person on the road has a story of a close call with someone yakking on the phone.
Yep, there should be some sort of reprocussion Pete. Good idea.
I hope that what everyone can get form this story is that road rage is not ok under any circumstances and should not be tolerated. She started this by driving innattentively and she ultimately made it worse by going over to his car. If the story is now correct I do not blame the man for talking to her. She deserved to know that she almost killed somebody. What gets me is that it sounds like she went after him and tried to yell at him for confronting her on her poor driving??? Sounds like a wacko
I suggest a law that requires cell phone usage to be entirely hands-free. The technology is there, so require folks to outfit themselves with the necessary equipment (i.e. phone w/voice activation functionality, audio speakers [stream through car radio?], microphone) if they desire to talk “on the phone” while driving.
This is her quote from the original story:
“I was high in the air and then I was in [the] middle of 169 northbound,” she recalled from her hospital bed Thursday morning at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Shakopee. “I remember rolling over and hearing skidding brakes. A lady got out and stopped traffic. A man ran and scooped me up and carried me to side of road.”
I’d say this woman has quite a vivid imagination or is high on something and probably should not be driving anyway!
I am not defending this woman at all, but please do not add to her crimes. She was on “heavy pain medication” at the time the deputies interviewed her. I am guessing that she received medical treatment first, then was interviewed.
How is it that no one thought to get this guy’s plate number? And I can’t blame him for not coming forward when he heard her description above: He probably thought this was a different incident than the one he was involved in.
Another reason that cell phones should not be allowed while driving. Either take them away, or give me a dollar for everytime I have a close encounter with some idiot that is on the phone not paying attention to their driving and I have to get out of their way. Why, oh why is everyone so afraid to make a law on this? I think this is more of a safety concern than making it mandatory that we all wear seatbelts. There are way too many people out there that aren’t saavy enough to talk on the phone and drive. People say the phrase that “Can’t walk and chew gum” Well, maybe that should be changed to “Can’t drive and talk on the phone” Even it they are hands free phones, people still will have to dial numbers, turn the radio down, try and answer the thing in one way or another, and not everyone will have the latest technologies in phones. And again, some people, too many actually, probably just can’t handle all that while driving. And will people obey any laws that could be written up? Only if the punishment is severe enough. Look at the teenagers. They are not supposed to be on the phone while driving at the age of 16, 17. Yet, they do it all the time, because the punishment doesn’t deter them. Nor have I seen or heard of any being punished for it. But we live in Minnesota, where the criminals run free, and speeders get hefty fines!
You know i get so sick of these people lying. While people are involved in a story they believe is true but turns out to be a lie. Real things are going on out there.
“He probably thought this was a different incident than the one he was involved in.”
It was.
While I have had some run-ins with cell phones on the road, I think a law requiring hands-free use would help tremendously.
But bad drivers are just bad drivers. Self-centered, inattentive, generally oblivious; and cell phone or no, they always will be. I am WAY more concerned about the fact that this women was driving around hopped up on pain meds than anything cell phone related. Many drivers can handle using their phones on the road, but NO ONE should be drugged up behind the wheel.
According to the article, the man pushed her because she was preventing him from shutting his truck door and leaving. Isn’t that justifiable?
I don’t think she was on pain meds while she was driving, she was on the meds when the police first interviewed her….
So was she on meds when she smiled for the cameras?
I’m not trying to defend this woman. I think she deserves jail time for reckless driving. But what’s with all the talk of her being on meds while she was driving? The report said she was on painkillers when the police interviewed her in the hospital. It never said anything about being on them while she was driving. If she was, that would have been reported initially. The cops would have been able to tell she driving under the influence of something.
Hands free won’t stop the drivers I see every week sitting there texting on their phones and trying to drive. This is usually accompanied by erratci speed, swerving, and general innattentiveness. Usually I’ll try to honk at them and motion to cut it out and I am either flipped off, ignored, or missed because they are too busy texting on their freaking phones.
I think that this lady is a complete fruit cake. I could tell her story had more holes in it then Swiss cheese. Also “fruit cake” nice hat. I bet anything there was no man there was no truck and that she came up with this whole story after she hurt her self somewhere else and couldn’t pay the doctors bill. Maybe she had to decide to either pay the doctors bill or buy that dumbarse hat
Why is it that it’s illegal to drive while what’s considered legally intoxicated, yet any flippin’ moron can yap incessantly on their phone, hands-free or otherwise, with no recourse? If a cop saw someone reading the newspaper or applying makeup while tooling down the highway, they could give them a ticket for reckles or inattentive driving. But one imbecile after another drives around while talking (or texting, for God’s sake) on their phone and it’s somehow deemed “their right.” I know I don’t have a “right” for you to not BE stupid, but I ought to have a right to expect you not to ACT stupid in situations where you may kill me.
After reading the initial story my brain said BS, but I still thought that it was probable with the current mentality of the masses of our fine nation.
Seeing this didn’t shock me in the least.
While I’m not for a complete ban on using cell phones in the car, I do think there need to be laws concerning the use, since many people don’t have the common sense to not use them or use them safely.
The majority of the time I use my cell phone in my vehicle I use a hands free set. If you are going to be on the phone while driving you should be using such a device.
Its very easy to drive and give your attention to the road with these devices compared to without them.
I hope this lady does get punished for lying.
I also feel there should be more appropriate traffic laws. Lets face it, you don’t need to be breaking the law to drive like an idiot.
Keep the laws on cell phones to yourself. There are enough bad drivers whether or not some one is on the phone. I think you should be held responsible for poor/inattentive/reckless driving period. The fact is people will continue to hurt others by their poor choices and actions on the road. I wonder if the same argument existed with the conception of the car radio.
Suz,
You are totally correct! This is whats scary about media and the general population because we all hear what we want to hear. Not only does the media skew the information in order to make it bend towards their angle of beliefs, but people generally interpret information incorrectly. It’s like that kids game when people whisper somethign in a circle and it ends up differently by the end.
I wonder if it really happened as initially reported, and this is a play to get the guy to come forward.
Two words describe her: wack job.
I still don’t know why both parties involved couldn’t just “let it go” and move along on their merry way. Instead, both of these idiots argued on the shoulder of a highway with traffic moving between 50-70MPH.
mnmike There was no man it is a made up story. dumb arse lady to go with her dumb arse hat
Why is it that those who flip out and have road rage tend to be the ones who were WRONG in the first place? That makes me so MAD and then to Lie about it. She could have killed him and his two passengers, one who was a kid. All becuase she was high (pain killers are still a high) and on a cell phone. I hope he comes forward so she faces as many charges as possible.
if she was “Heavily Medicated” she should be charged with a DUI!! - driving under the influence of pain meds should be no different than drinking and driving.
Why is this not brought up?!
The story is even still different on the Shakopee News website. Told you Morg (I agreed with you)..her story had too many loopholes. Wonder if she go back out to the news media (TV) to clarify? Where’s the outrage now. Reading the Shakopee News article..she still is blaming the guy. Reading this she’s the one that is at fault..to the point she might have charges filed against her now.

Road-rage victim shifts focus to recovery
March 6, 2008 - 3:38pm — By Shawn Hogendorf, Correspondent
It was a case of senseless violence, but then again, violence never makes sense for victims.
Road rage can be found on roads across the country on a daily basis, but rarely is it as horrific as the incident involving Jennifer Boulden, 34, of Prior Lake, on Feb. 25.
Although road-rage incidents rarely involve a physical altercation, reports are quite common, with people sometimes yelling at each other from within their vehicles as they drive, weaving in and out of lanes or braking to get back at someone who may have cut them off or tailgated, said Captain Jeff Tate of the Shakopee Police Department.
According to the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, Boulden cut off a man while talking on her cell phone and making a U-turn on Highway 169 and Highway 41 in Jackson Township. Boulden was confronted by the angered driver. After attempting to offer an apology to the man she cut off, Boulden was involved in an argument with the suspect and was pushed backward into rush-hour traffic after trying to keep the man from shutting his door. Boulden fell to the ground, and her cell phone broke.
After pushing the petite mother of five into the highway, the man then left the scene.
Boulden lay in the middle of the road with injuries that caused her to spend the next four days recovering at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Shakopee.
Her story was plastered all over local media and made it into newspapers as far away as Chicago and Detroit.
After interviewing witnesses and re-interviewing Boulden, the Scott County Sheriff’s Office clarified that at no time was Boulden pulled from her vehicle, and her cell phone was not taken from her and smashed. Her phone broke when she fell, according to a Sheriff’s Office release.
A week later, Boulden is home, but her real-life nightmare still hasn’t set in.
Trying to recover
This week, Boulden sat on her couch, cuddling with her 3-month-old puppy while her 2-year-old child took a nap. Her other children were at school and her husband was at work.
Things seem normal, but Boulden continues to struggle to come to grips with the idea that she could have lost her life for no reason.
“I’m just grateful my 2-year-old child wasn’t with me,” Boulden said. “I almost brought him along. I can’t imagine what would have happened if I did.”
She can’t recall what she was thinking as she lay in the middle of Highway 169, listening to cars come to screeching halts while a complete stranger stopped traffic and another witness carried Boulden to the side of the road to wait for emergency services to respond.
Tuesday, she made her first strides to heal physically with a variety of therapies and acupuncture treatments in attempts to heal the injuries to her back and her right leg.
While her physical wounds will eventually heal with pain medication, physical therapy or surgery if needed, Boulden said her emotional scars may take longer to heal.
She still hasn’t driven her car since the incident, and she isn’t sure when she will decide to get behind the wheel again.
She hasn’t had a good night’s sleep since the incident, as she is awoken by nightmares every time she falls asleep.
“I have a lot of fear,” Boulden said. “It’s like a bad dream.”
The one thing she really wants to come from this incident is closure.
Through justice, she hopes future road-rage incidents by the man can be prevented.
“I don’t believe this was the first time this man did something like this, and I fear it won’t be the last,” Boulden said.
Boulden hopes someone who knows something about the man will go to Scott County authorities with information. The suspect is described as a white man in his mid 40s with gray hair, between 5 feet 8 inches and 6 feet 4 inches tall, weighing between 180 and 260 pounds.
The man was driving a dark-colored, possibly blue or green, full-sized pick-up truck with a topper and a possible extended cab, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Prior to the incident, Boulden was on her way to be fitted for a bridesmaid dress at about 5:30 p.m. Feb. 25.
Her legal U-turn caused the man she cut off to hit the brakes and go into the median to avoid her, said Captain Greg Muelken of the Sheriff’s Office. The two vehicles then pulled over on the shoulder of the road near Mobile Manor, he said.
Boulden doesn’t recall much of what happened to her on that Monday evening, but she accepts responsibility for making a mistake.
She got out of her car after the man yelled at her because she didn’t have the opportunity to apologize while he was “ranting and raving” at her vehicle window, she said.
“I’m trying to take the good out of this, rather than the bad,” Boulden said. “I’m upset, but I don’t want this story to die. I want to find this person. I want to know why. I want some closure.”
Boulden, a stay-at-home mother, is trying to heal herself both physically and mentally before she tries to explain to her children what happened.
“My 14-year-old thinks I’m a movie star since I’ve been on television so much,” Boulden said. “If that’s what she needs to think to deal with this right now, that’s fine.
“I’m doing all I can to shield my children from this right now because they’re scared,” she said. “They’re afraid we’re going to get in a car and it’s going to happen again. They’re freaked out.”
Boulden said she has never dealt with a situation like this before, so all she can do is “try to do the best I can to heal myself.”
She and her family are planning to go to psychological therapy to help heal the emotional scars.
As for the physical injuries, Boulden has nerve damage to her right leg; she re-injured a couple of herniated discs in her lower back; she has bumps on the back of her head, bruises on her shoulder blades and soreness in her neck.
“My back had been fine, but this incident re-injured it to the point to where I couldn’t move for two days,” Boulden said.
The road to recovery seems to be a long one at this point, Boulden said.
“But I feel very lucky,” she said.
The outpouring of support from strangers has been overwhelming, she said. Several witnesses have called her mother to get updates on how she is feeling.
“It is amazing to know how many strangers stopped at what many of them thought was a domestic situation,” Boulden said. “Some people kept driving, but that is understandable when they don’t know the situation. I just can’t believe all the people who stopped and put themselves in harm’s way to help me. When I start feeling better, I would like to thank the people who helped me.”
Boulden said she can’t help but blame herself for this incident.
“If I would’ve been more careful, this may not have happened,” she said. “There were two parties at fault, and I accept my responsibility. Drivers like me need to take their time and relax when they are late to something, so you don’t upset others.”
Boulden said one lesson she will take from the incident is to never get out of her vehicle.
Because people never know who the person is they’re dealing with in road-rage situations and what that person might be capable of, Tate said people should remain calm, let the other vehicle pass and call police with identifying vehicle information.
“By escalating the situation, their actions could have serious consequences,” Tate said.
“I was just trying to apologize, because that is the type of person I am,” Boulden said. “I didn’t want someone mad at me. But I never thought someone would physically hurt me, either.”
“I could sit here and think of the negatives all day long, but I can’t do that to myself,” she said. “I have to think of the positives, and hopefully something good will come of this.”
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Scott County Sheriff’s Office at (952) 496-8300 and ask to speak to an investigator.
Shawn Hogendorf can be reached at (952) 345-6374 or shogendorf@swpub.com. Shannon Fiecke contributed to this report.
This lady should have her license revoked before she gets killed or kills someone. There is NO excuse other than she’s an idiot. Driving is a priviledge, not a right. It’s the state’s responsibility to maintain safety and this women should not be allowed out on the road PERIOD
Excerpts from all the bleeding heart liberals who rushed to judgement:
so - a preamture desire for justice based on an emotional response is a “liberal” trait? i just don’t know about that…
I’d say her stories and BS point to a conservative mind, not a liberal one.
I think the word you’re looking for is “crazy”. points to a “crazy” mind.
take off the red & blue glasses, kids
…Jeez…Saw that coming. What a shocker. She does deserve to get nailed for her part in it. At the very least reckless driving. Bruised vertebrae? Painkillers? You need to “heal with your family”? Come on, you whack job. She was looking for attention and/or handouts. I hope she’s completely embarassed of herself. Too bad that her family has to be embarassed of her now too.
She was on pain meds when she was interviewed and in the hospital….not while she was driving.
Maybe this will convince all the conservative kooks why we ‘waste all that money’ giving accused criminals a fair trial.
Everytime someone is accused of a crime right-wing idiots are the first one’s screaming “death penlty!” “lock ‘em up! No Trial! We got witnesses!”
Sometimes there’s more to the story. Yet if all those self-proclaimed law and order types had their way, this innocent pick-up driver would’ve been strung up a week ago, and all they’d say is “oops!”
I knew there was something fishy about this news story. When involved in road rage, whether being raged on or against, who stops to apologize? BS from the beginning.
I wouldn’t be surprised if we find out she’s addicted to pain meds. I mean she looks a bit off her rocker, not to mention her pigtails and dark lip liner. Clearly, she is missing a link upstairs.
I hope she is punished for falsifying information to police.
And why has she been in the hospital for 4 days? Cuz she fell down? Total whack-job. There is even more to this story, I am sure.
I have a lot of fear, too, Mrs. Boulden.
Fear that people using cell phones while they’re drive will ace me.
People like you.
Maybe they should move her up to the 4th floor of that hospital where the rooms are padded and soft.
I think this story is indicative of the way police, and the courts (especially family) treat men with an aire of contempt whenever there’s a dispute involving a woman. I personally am aware of scores of men who have had their children literally taken away because the ex continues to pursue restraining orders because she’s scared of him. Never mind the fact that there’s never been an incident. And of course, for him even to challenge these charges “demonstrates” a “chilling” environment. Go figure?
Absolutely correct Jessica, no one stops to apologize. This woman is a flake. So much for her 15 minutes of fame.
Aarinski
There are enough idiots on the road without another distraction. The radio is vastly different than listening to the radio. While you can have a conversation and call it the same, when listening to the radio you aren’t tying up one hand to hold the cell phone, look down to dial or text on it.
I think bad drivers should be punished, it will make the roads safer for us all, but at the same time we should remove the distraction from them to lessen the chances they’ll do something stupid.
This is an open forum on the topic, and people can feel free to post things in relation to it.
Shouldn’t the DOT be jerking this nutcase gals driver’s license before she kills someone?
Most road rage is actually provoked by terrible drivers and their antics. If the state patrol spent as much time going after terrible drivers as they do drunk drivers, the roads would be much safer.
Excuse me, one moment as I try to keep my lunch down. That story from the Shakopee newspaper is the biggest load I’ve read. The ridiculous quotes from her about her kids being scared and thinking she’s a movie star is too much.
HER KIDS WEREN’T EVEN THERE! Some of them are too young to know, to young to care, or even to young to say anything. The syrupy sweetness is enough to rot my teeth.
Nightmares? Sounds like karma.
Just trying to apologize? I bet she was. What a freaking nutjob. She is so full of it it’s really pissing me off. By the way people please read the article correctly…she was on meds when they interviewed her AFTER the accident.
Yeah!! Then I got out of my car and followed him back to his truck after he just cursed me out to appologize. I wanted to appologize yeah that’s it. The guy in the truck never even really existed she got hurt somehow buying that stupid hat. She’s hooked on amphetamines
…and that is why you should never trust a woman in a baseball cap!
After reading this article, I hate this despicable wench even more than I did when I just THOUGHT she was lying. I couldn’t even finish the article because I felt like puking.
Still claiming she’s the victim. Not taking any responsibility for the fact her stupid, careless, innattentive driving nearly killed him and his family.
No doubt she’s hoping this prompts the man to come forward. Sounds like she’s got quite a list of “injuries” she wants him to pay for. Funny though, because if you watch the video, she’s gesturing with her hands and twisting her head and neck as if she’s never felt better. Couldn’t move for 2 days? B.S. This video was taken shortly after the incident. I think we’re just dealing with a delusional habitual liar.
As for her not driving since the incident–Good news for us all. With any luck at all, it’ll stay that way.
One clarification: She wasn’t on painkillers when the incident happened. She is using that as her excuse why she “couldn’t remember”, why she told the story she did.
Ever the victim…
Fine give her a DWI if she was on them
This is the type of person who will never feel remorse for their actions, because whatever happens (even if she is the cause) she is a Horrible Victim of a Tragic Situation (HVTC), and should be held up and loved and given things. You can’t force remorse. I wish I had some place I could chant that, it would make a great chant.
“and that is why I don’t eat shrimp”
MrZ,
I understand what you’re saying but I think there is a parallel between the gut reaction to this incident and the gut reaction to always create some new law to address it. There are laws in place to address bad drivers. If someone is distracted by a phone, radio, kids, etc. they ought to be held responsible.
Ahhhh, the worm has turned on all you fools who immediately accepted this liar’s story as she told it. Sure enough, she is a typical woman driver who knows not how to drive properly and with due courtesy and thoughtfulness for others on the road. Given what she admits to having done, the other driver’s alleged actions as related by this woman in the first instance would have been more than appropriate IMHO. Stupidity on the roadways has to beaten out of the stupid sometimes, plain and simple.
Road rage caused by other road rage is understandable. But, if you fly into a rage because of a simple human error, then you may wanna recheck your priorities, too…
“Bleeding heart liberals”? What the heck how does that have to do with anything? You conservatives just can’t find enough ways to blame the liberals for just what ever you feel is not your fault/problem. Simply someone again not taking the responsibility for their actions. I know a few conservatives that could float in that boat too.
Stop harping on the cell phone users!!! How about Smokers? How about people READING while driving. How about parents who pay attention to their kids and Not the road. If you have an issue, please be realistic and address the bad drivers. Just this morning during rush hour I was behind a man with young children in the car on 169 in Plymouth. WHILE DRIVING, He was trying to put a jacket on the unseat belted child in the front seat and throwing toys back and forth with the child in the back seat. Of course all of this while bobbing back and forth over the fog line in and out of traffic. Accidents did not just start happening when cell phones came into the picture, they’ve always been here and will continue to be here while we have inattentive drivers, bad drivers, foreign people who do not understand the laws and signs, etc. You need to stop blaming just ONE thing for accidents. Heck, cell phones have saved more lives than they’ve hurt so keep that in mind the next time you crash and need to call 911!!!
Cell phones are scourge on society.
The create more problems than they solve.
Study after study has shown it isn’t the phone, or holding the phone that’s the distraction, it’s concentrating on the conversation itself.
Hand-held or hands-free, it doesn’t matter. Phones kill.
Morg, if concentrating on the conversation is the problem, are you saying we should ban speaking to anyone while in the car? How about banning listening to the radio? Perhaps banning smoking? After all, prior to cell phones, the world was against the smokers and to back that up just take a look at why smokers pay higher car insurance rates than non smokers! I really hope all of you cell phone haters get in an accident an NO ONE has a cell phone. I’d love to see how long it takes you to get help just sitting there in your crashed car, perhaps with injuries and I’ll bet the first thing that you think is “Dang, wish I had a cell phone to call for help!”
So, how much money do you think people sent her? Will she give it back? Will she even report the income?
My guess? More meds for the con artist.
If only there were some way to avoid this sort of problem in the future…Oh yeah, there is; hang up the @#$@%& phone and drive with all your attention on the road.
Unfortunately we can’t legislate everything. Sooner or later we just have to use our common sense.
Road rage/aggression is a bigger killer because of the intent behind the act. If you are just a stupid driver, I’ll dodge you. But if someone really is trying to plow his way thru traffic, and threaten other drivers, just to make some meaningless political statement, then whatever is done to him by his victim is fine with me.
‘fess up, Jamaica. You’ve got your cellphone plastered to your ear and hand the entire time you’re behind the wheel….and are driving 10 miles under the speed limit in the fast lane with no regard or attention to what’s going on around you. Last time I looked at a smoker in the car, they could hold the wheel. Smokers pay more than non-smokers for car insurance? HUH? LOL! Now quit texting your responses while driving and get your attention back on the road where it belongs.
Jamaica you can own a cell phone and just don’t use it while you are driving I am actually a person that does this. In this instance I could actually call in the case of an accident
I agree with Jamaica. I think inattentive driving, as a result of any distraction, is dangerous.
Also, why is it that “bleeding hearts” supposedly supported the woman? From my read most people that supported the woman beleived the events as they were originally reported in the Star Tribune. If those events in fact proved to be true then all who supported the woman would have clearly been justified. I would call people a little naive for believing without proper cynicism but not “bleeding heart”.
Mairi, I do talk on my phone while driving and I can walk and chew gum at the same time too. I don’t go 10 mph under the speed limit but you will see me speeding by your pokey butt while dodging the other idiots on the roads! Not sure what insurance co you have but the last time I renewed my policy with Farmers they asked that question because they charge more for smokers. By the way, I drive a Suburban which should be big enough to see in broad day light but was still broad sided by some moron pulling out of a driveway while lighting his smoke. He told the cop “I didn’t see it because I was looking down lighting my pipe.”
Odd. My hubby smokes and we’ve been with Farmers Insurance for over 20 years. Never had any kind of penalty assessed for him being a smoker… we’ve never been asked the question, either. Not all smokers smoke in their cars, either… hubby doesn’t.
Johnny,
I’m not the typical woman driver (and I drive a big Dodge 4×4 extended cab pickup). I get mad at all the flaky drivers. SHE’S one of them.
I love all the inattentive drivers, distracted drivers and the ones that don’t flat out know how to drive; breaking laws, crossing solid lines with lane mergers.
This woman is still trying to garner sympathy. Her credibility is shot. She LIED and is still giving excuses.
To the poster..that the other driver shouldn’t have pushed her into traffic. I think you ought to question if he pushed her into traffic? They found her behind her car…so much for people stopping and picking her up. That part changed too.
The reason she got hurt this bad is she fell down and reinjuried old herniated discs (my BIL has them and a little slip will cause massive reinjury).
The woman is a liar.
Jamaica wishes people that don’t have cell phones injury.
Could a better example of cell phone self-absorbsion be found?
Here’s what I think:
I think that anytime a cell phone user is killed in an accident while operating a car(and there have been documented cases)two things happen: the cell phone becomes irrelevant, and the strength of the human gene-pool just increased.
I have had my agent for close to 30 yrs and still have the “Non-smoker” discount on my renewals. Maybe your agent just doesn’t ask.
Jamaica:
I’m not one for more unenforcable laws. I was just stating facts. As with kids who still use their phones illegally while driving, so would others if there was a total ban, probably you included. Some people feel laws don’t apply to them.
But sometimes we need laws to protect the stupid from themselves. Then all we would have to do is get cops to actually enforce it. Good luck with that.
St. Paul guy, you’re missing the point. Everyone is complaining about the cell phone being the cause. There was more to this than just a little piece of technology. The cell phone did not cause her accident, her crappy driving did. The cell phone did not tell her to make the u-turn and almost hit someone. She would have made the U-turn anyway and by looking at how flakey she is, she would probably have thought to herself “They’ll stop for me” and done it regardless of who was coming her way and regardless of her cell phone.
there was no accident because this is a ficticious story. she’s hooked on amphetamines
Morg, I have a hands free device and use it daily. I think its really stupid that everyone is focusing on ONE thing. The phone. Again, the phone did not cause her stupid actions. The phone did not make her almost hit the truck and it didn’t make her contront him causing the “push” that could have killed her. Her stupidity is what caused all of this so stop blaming one thing and look at the whole picture!
More drivers training is in order for most of the idiots on the road. Tougher laws on inattentive driving, tougher laws on road rage. I drive over 100 miles per day and have yet to make it through a day where I do not see some jack *** slam on the brakes to piss off the person behind him or another moron swerving all over while doing god knows what in the car. Its not just cell phones that kill, its morons that shouldn’t be driving.
No DUI for the “Heavy Pain Medicine”? Where is MADD?
I’m not missing the point.
Study after study has linked cell phone use with diminished driving ability.
It’s a fact.
Several states and many of European countries (countries where, by the way, driving is taken seriously) have bans on the use of cell phones while driving.
This isn’t by, ahh, accident.
jimmy bee, I agree with you and several others. I think she fell on her butt in the middle of the road to gain attention and be awarded some fantastic car accident settlement!
ok jamaica tail gating and cell phones are a bad idea and this lady is on amphetamines
Yes but St. Paul Guy, there is more than just a cell phone to cause an accident.
The phone conversation she was having was distracting her, thus she wasn’t paying attention and pulled out in front of someone. Would she have done so anyway had she not been on the phone? Who knows? You sure as heck don’t so don’t even try to say you do.
The undeniable truth is she was on the phone when this happened. It caused her to miss her turn and it caused her to pull out without looking properly. I don’t see how you could see it any other way.
Also, I don’t think people are just focused on the phone. That may have well been what cause the incident to begin with, but things certainly spun quickly out of control from there.
You may be an exception (for now), but facts don’t lie: phones are a dangerous distraction. Period.
Speaking of cell phones, wonder who she was talking too and what that person heard? Screeching brakes? The woman cussing? Or what? Wonder if that person will come forward or if the police will use phone records to track him/her down.
The problem with cellphones is, when they’re used by people of marginal intelligence and consideration to begin with, they (like many other correlating factors, like alcohol, noisy passengers, etc.) make the person behave even less intelligent and considerate. I imagine drinking and driving wasn’t initially against the law. But time and repeated incidents proved the two didn’t mix well. The same is generally true with cellphone use. I’m sure there are plenty of drivers out there who are perfectly capable of driving with a BAC in excess of the legal limit. But a line had to be drawn in the sand. Cellphone use while driving (not to report an accident from a stopped vehicle) should be flat-out illegal.
They should check her phone records to see if she was actually on the phone w/someone
Yes, many things cause accidents. I’m not defending those.
What a dumb hooker. Typical self involved chic yippin on her cell and could give a frogs fat butt what she did…and of course she’s the victim as always. This is the type of person who always has drama in her life, calls in sick to work once a week, and is just a royal pain. Get a life.
Sorry Jamaica but the phone and other unnecessary distractions when driving a car have EVERYTHING to do with what caused an accident like this. Not only did she tell lie after flagrant lie in her video interview, but she kept making excuses for her manuever. The stark truth is that people who do distracting things while driving don’t ever actually believe that they’re the problem. I’m willing to bet that at least 90% of these kinds of altercations and/or potential accidents are the direct result of someone doing something stupid behind the wheel of their car. Driving is a responsibility and if you can’t handle it, then you shouldn’t be driving…sorry. ADD moment…the same goes for people who irresponsibly get into mortgages and live well beyond their means and then expect people to bail them out because of the excuses they make…but that’s a whole other story. It’s all about personal responsibility. If you have none, then I’ve got zero sympathy for you.
Conversations within the confines of a car are different. Again, studies prove this. Passengers know when to keep quiet and are aware of what’s going on and can even help the driver navigate, whereas someone you’re talking to on the phone has no idea you’re going 70mph surrounded by semis.
There is an exception, of course: with new driver’s, 16-17 yr. olds, risk skyrockets with each additional passenger they have in the car with them.
Which is why there is talk of placing restrictions on that as well, which was well-documented here recently.
I think this lady is totally full of it from tips of her toes right up to the top of that ugly arse hat. She should be sat down and investagated as well as questioned and if her story doesn’t stick she should be charged the full amount that the taxpayers had to pay to investigate her fake story. Also they will never find the truck driver and I repeat ever cause there is no truckdriver he is made up. he does not exist
Pete makes a good point. Couple that with what passes as “driver training” in this country, mix in a little freeway congestion, a lot of stupid people, and top it off with diminished driving skill while cell phone yakking and it’s stunning that more people are dead from driving every year.
The woman still does not want to be responsible for her actions…the title of the Shakopee News article is “Road-rage victim shifts focus to recovery”.
I’ve emailed the writer of the article..letting him know that her story is further different on this site. And he needs to quit making her the victim and giving her sympathy. Look at the title of the article. She’s not a ROAD RAGE victim.
Wow, was I bamboozled!!! I read the story, saw the initial interview and felt sorry for the “lady”. I was surprised of all the press and making a big stink out of it. Well, come to hear she was a lying sack of dung!!! I hope she be held accountable for making false statements!!!! I abhore this society at times when ANYONE can make ANY accusation about someone…and when found false aren’t held accountable. I feel sorry for the dude in the pickup!!
This is the epitomy of trashiness. Get everyone to feel bad for you then forget to mention that you were the one that continued to argue after you almost caused an accident and wouldn’t let the guy leave the scene when he actually had reason to yell at you. Then your phone broke (which you were talking on while driving) after you dropped it, rather than it being maliciously thrown to the ground. Nice, real nice. Why doesn’t she take some more of those pain meds she was on.
I am curious why she had to spend so much time in the hospital or did i miss that info. Also, if I were the truck driver, I
would not come forward because you cannot
re-inact what happened at that moment in time and he would get charged with pushing
her down although she was the one at fault. It would all get turned against him.
Morg, just you wait, someone will take Jimmy Bee’s idea and check her cell records. They’ll probably find she lied about that too and wasn’t even on the phone. She just used it as an excuse for being a retard and almost causing an accident because she wasn’t paying attention. In all reality, there are probably more people who blame “being on the cell phone” for the reason behind their stupid action because they don’t want the finger pointed directly at them but, the phone never made them do it!
What??
Blaming “being on the cell phone” as to avoid responsibilty for your actions?
Blink. Blink.
I can’t think of a quicker way to assign blame for an accident than to admit to yakking on a cell phone at the time of anaccident.
one word for you “DWI”
check her cell phone records and also she is on amphetamines
this lady is so dumb that she must think if she breaks her cell phone that people can’t check her phone bill for the cell phone records
Funniest line in the updated version of the story:
“Boulden could not be reached for comment today”
What, all of a sudden got stagefright?
Best line of the story:
“Based on Boulden’s new account, it now appears he [the truck driver] did nothing illegal”, Muelken said. He said the man’s statement could support possible traffic charges against Boulden for failing to yield and inattentive driving.”
Look at the picture of her at the beginning of the video. You can see by the look on her face, the furrowed brow, talking with her hands, that she is lying. Rather than the truth just flowing out, you can see that she is having to think as she talks, almost as if she’s visualizing it in her head as if to make it true.
Honestly……pathetic. This woman needs help alright, but not the type she thinks.
ENOUGH! Where are the witnesses and where is that guy? Why is HE not defending himself and when will all of you get off her back and STOP calling her names! What does being a liberal or conservative have to do with this story of bad judgment? Really, she lied, he’s MOA and so are “all those kind people who helped her.
DGB and I are vindicated.
I knew something didn’t add up. Followed him because you wanted to apologize? Some of us figured it out right then.
Following what seems to be the sequence of events, it seems a safe bet the cellphone never left her hand throughout the whole incident. She was probably using it before she made her U-turn (it may even be WHY she needed to make the U-turn), during the U-turn, as she pulled over, held it in her lap while the guy was yelling at her, still had it in hand as she followed him back to his vehicle, and shook it in his face as she threatened to call the police. She’s probably the type of person who is never more than two feet away from her phone at any point in the day. Cellphones, while useful tools in some situations, lend credibility and significance to an otherwise insignificant person. It’s as if to say, “Look at me and how important I must be to be having this conversation while I’m shopping, driving, in the restaurant, at the funeral, on the toilet, etc.” What would anyone want to bet there are people who go around with a cellphone to their ear who don’t even have someone at the other end of the call?
Jamaica:
If your theory turned out to be true, that would be all the more reason to get her off the road permanently.
jimmy bee says:
“this lady is so dumb that she must think if she breaks her cell phone that people can’t check her phone bill for the cell phone records”
LMAO. wouldn’t surprise me a bit.
St. Paul Guy,
Heck she’s blamed the other guy why not the cell phone. She can’t seem to take any responsiblity.
(I drove by this incident on Monday).
Pennagirl says “(I drove by this incident on Monday)”. What, you drove by some fruitcake seeing shadow demons on bad dope. My case is this that she is totally full of it and yeah we all know this. What is she trying to get from Pho experience. Maybe $$$ maybe prescription pills or maybe a free trip to get previous back problem checked out for free.
Prof. S. says: “DGB and I are vindicated”.
What about me, pal? Before you guys jumped on board I posted(and took alot of heat for) this:
Morg says:
February 29th, 2008 at 7:29 am
“There’s two sides to every story. Who knows if she’s telling the whole truth? Like anyone, she is going to “remember” things in a way that paint her in a favorable light.
All I’m saying is that if she doesn’t do the stupid move of cutting across traffic, this never happens. SHE could have killed someone! Her u-turn may have been legal, but the way she went about it was not, cutting people off in her haste.
As for the pickup, what the guy was driving is immaterial, yet there are people on this blog who think that anyone who drives a truck of any sort is evil incarnate, and should be banned from the roads. Some people pounced on it here: “The Stupid Man In Pickup strikes again”. What he was driving has nothing to do with the story, except to help in finding him.”
How’s about a little love for me?
P.S. thanks again for having my back!
Morg u rock and i drive a pickup and I love my truck.
I think the reason Mr. Truck hasn’t revealed himself yet is because he knew all too well what would happen to him in the media: character assassination before he ever had his day in court.
Now at least he can come forward and people will believe him. I’m sure we’ll see a statement in the next couple of days after he talks to a lawyer first.
As to all of you cretins who are trying to make this a liberal vs. conservative thing? Just look at the chick’s stupid hat. She’s obviously a Kucinich voter.
I bike to work - and every single close call I’ve had, without exception, has involved chick drivers. Most of them with “Wellstone” or “Kerry” or “Edwards” stickers on back.
I hate soccer moms driving while on the phones.. they are dangerous.
We constantly hear that there are not enough cops to enforce traffic laws. Well, why not actually enforce the laws and issue tickets for violations other than speeding? Back when I used to drive to work, I’m sure I could have issued 15 to 20 tickets every day in my 20 minute drive. Jack up the fines for offenses like running red lights, changing lanes without signaling, driving in the fast lane for purposes other than passing, reckless driving, etc. would do a world a good for reducing road rage and traffic accidents.
And I wholeheartedly agree that driving is a priviledge. It’s not a right, and we should not be afraid to take that priviledge away for reasons other than drinking and driving.
jimmy bee: Thanks. I wouldn’t trade my F-150 for all the Priuses in the world. Well, I would, but then I’d sell them all, buy a new F-150 and pocket the difference!
I just saw this moronic woman on KARE 11 telling more lies about what happened. Man, if you’re going to make things up, stick to your story and be a little more convincing. Sounds like the guy did nothing against the law and SHE should be nailed with wreckless/careless driving. She had more coming to her than she got!
Once again, not defending this woman, but the story says that she was on heavy pain meds when the deputies interviewed her– not when the incident occured
Morg & Doug, Morg & Doug….
Do we know how to call ‘em!!!
If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it’s a duck.
Pain meds… give me a break, it’s drugs. Now she has a story to tell the folks back at the trailer park.
Yesterday, someone tried to move left into the lane I was driving in. The problem was, he didn’t look to see if there was already someone there and I had to slam the brakes and blow the horn. He swerved back into his lane and as I was passing him, he gave me a dirty look. Whats wrong with people? This guy almost kills me and he gives me a dirty look? C’mon.
DGB, back at the trailer park? So when the story came out the first time we had to insult someone cause they were driving a pickup, now we have to insult someone because they live in a trailer park? Should I insult u now because you make ignorant comments?
Ok, I forget a member of the tag team.
DGB, Morg, & Prof. S.
We need to get one of those Tandy emergency helmets, with the light on top.
Next time we have a story like this, one of us needs to put on the “Bimbo alert” hat, to warn everyone about the impending “Bimbo news conference”.
Yah, DGB on the label making…
You included my ’self defense’ comment under ‘bleeding heart liberal.’
All reputable self defense classes, including the big one that just became legal recently, teach the difference between force to save yourself vs retaliation. That is not partisan. That is survival.
Too few people drive properly, because there are so few consequenses for it. The police have abandoned most enforcement, and concentrate pretty much on reascue after the damage is done. It’s the wild west, and driver behavior adapts to it.
Cameras. Need tons and tons of cameras. Cameras don’t lie, they “remember” everything, and they never say, “Well, gee, there’s nothing we can do.”
Bring on Big Brother.
Hey Barry,
When I was a figure skater, I became bored with Ballet training, for several years I studied and recieved a Brown Belt in Jujitsu, from the JBBF (Japenese Black Belt Federation.)
My sen-si (I’m horrible at spelling) Dr Hsu said: “First you run, then you hide, then you ‘fly’” Do what ever you can to distance yourself from the situation.
The Bimbo in this story actually tried to confront the guy. This is stupidity to the max. The chick was out of her mind.
Survival is making sure there is no physical damage, maybe identifiying yourself, and getting the hell out of there.
Besides Prof. S, Morg, and DGB rule, cause we actually understand the BS meter.
Barry,
The Crow tastes much better with A-1 sauce!
How dare you all pass judgement just because it was in the star and tribune..a quote from a police officer that she never spoke to. She was not on medication when she was driving..she was given medication in the hospital..not before..she did not admit that she lied.. she was on the phone trying to get directions to the place she was going to but could not find. You people should base your opinions on facts..not heresay…there were witnesses.
My bad. I couldn’t remember everyone just off the top of my head.
I knew there was something up with this story. She had this look when being interviewed that threw red flags up. Kudos to all the posts wanting to expose this fraud! Unfortunately the media will drop this story so they won’t embarrass themselves for their lack of investigation into it. You know different day, different news cycle.
Surprise Surprise!! So this Jennifer Boulden is talking on her cell phone, does a u-turn on a busy 4 lane highway onto the passing lane, and has the nerve to argue with someone who got upset with her? She needs to have her DL revoked. Irresponsible drivers like this are a hazard to society. I could tell by looking at her in her video that she was a lying piece of scum.
How embarrassing for her kids. Way to shame the entire family, Mom.
Now there has been a third revision to the story. Now she says that her story hasn’t changed and the State Trooper has “mis-remembered” the second interview. (apparently someone was able to get in contact with her late this afternoon - Friday)
Her creditibility should totally be shot now.
Can you say “damage control”. Imagine what her kids are going to hear in school on Monday!!?
clearly anyone getting out of their vehicle to confront another driver in a “roadrage incident” isn’t stable to begin with…her three day hospital stay? drug seeking behavior, in my opinion, and she got what she was looking for;heavy medication. what she needs? jail time and/or therapy for her reckless, irrational behavior.
To the idiot woman who was driving the White Volkswagen Jetta VR6 down Cliff road in Burnsville today around 2:10 pm, you nearly sideswiped my red pickup when you took your right hand and flicked your cigarette out the driver’s window while your left hand held your GD cellphone. You crossed over the center line and the dividing hash marks 5-6 times as I watched you. Your speed varied 10mph. You are a dangerous f’ing moron. I wish you’d have hit me so we could have another road rage incident. You stupid pig!!!
Society is definitely getting dumber. No wonder the great and powerful U.S.A. is going down the drain. The dollar is becoming worthless. The national debt is out of this world. The terrorists got what they wanted.
“I abhore this society at times when ANYONE can make ANY accusation about someone…and when found false aren’t held accountable.
Mike, it happens all of the time. If someone points the finger at you, you are automatically guilty and subject to arrest.
i pegged this story from the get-go.
something smelled foul.
she was “so frightened” yet followed him back to his vehicle??
i know her type, cell phone or no cell phone she’s a stupid driver, inattentive and careless, endangering everyone else.
if she were smart she’d stop making assertions and fade away…..
The guy driving the truck will probably never show himself because this er um woman will just change her story all over again and lie and the poor guy will end up in jail! At the very least the woman owes this guy his next set of brakes and tires!
I’ve had a similar incident when some dork cranked a left hand turn in front of me on 55MPH road and I had to dynamite the brakes, laid down 30 feet of rubber and barely missed the twit. She was in a hurry to get into the bar. Go figure. I pulled into the parking and just screamed at the Biatch. When something like that happens the adreneline rush is really intense and I really wanted to punch her but held myself in check on that one.
After I watched her version of the incident, I couldn’t understand why, WHY a woman would GET OUT OF HER CAR and try to “apologize” to a man she had admittedly cut off. If you pay any attention to the headlines, you don’t do that…I think she was pissed that the guy scolded her in a harsh way.
Mike, do you feel better? I praise you for blogging it at 3 am and not road raging it dude.
Not to defend her, but reading the story, I gather that the claim of being on the pain killers was when she was in the hospital. She claims that was why she gave the story she did, because she was drugged up when giving the report. I drive for a living in the cities, on average I have 5 to 7 near accidents every day, and I drive a large truck. People just need to pay more attention to what is going on around them when they are driving.
I wondered how accurate her version of the story was when she said she just wanted to apologize to the other driver. Many times I’ve almost been hit, and twice I was hit, and every single time I got at minimum the finger from the other driver if I honked, and at worst was threatened with physical harm. That last one was because I dared to blame the other driver for hitting my car while I was PARKED.
Maybe her story will change again, maybe she really does know the license plate# of this guys truck, maybe she just does not want his side of this event told to the authorities…
Bottom line, hang up and drive with all your attention and might.
Oh, Bye the way. She should be cited for DUI, according to her own incriminating statements.
O.K……So in the unlikely event that this woman really can’t remember everything that happened, why would she then go on t.v. and recount the events in an unclear/inaccurate/memory challenged way, presented as truth, that paints the truck driver as the bad guy?
And if she was recovering from serious injuries, why would she go out of her way to confront the guy, even though it was HER fault, and risk reinjury, which supposedly did result? Frankly, I don’t believe she was hurt that bad, either. She looked fine as she gave her lie-filled account to the t.v. crew.
Now, she says she was pushed so hard she was knocked out, yet managed to unconciously crawl to the side of the road? Most people who are knocked out or suffer concussions don’t remember any of the preceding events, yet she goes on t.v. and presents lies as truth.
She knowingly and willfully smeared the character of the truck driver, tried to ruin his life, in a shameless attempt at evading responsibility and garnering sympathy. Even though this episode was ENTIRELY HER FAULT, she lied to law enforcement officials and attempted to frame the truck driver. He should be able to sue her for defamation.
This woman is a lying, scumbag nut case and needs psychological help and possibly jail time for her actions and lies. She also needs to refrain from driving. Forever.
Jimmy bee must have a line on this one. Scott County is fully awar of who this woman is and what her track record tells about her ablility to be honest. Jimmy, did you happen on the meth-amphetamine angle? That’s her M.O. The drug side of this story is where the truth lies. Also, the phone records are going to show what was really going down. I don’t buy for a second that there ever was an anonymous truck driver. There may be a skeleton from her closet that ran into her or there may be a jilted aquaintance, but a complete stranger is highly unlikely.
How many children does she have? Five? No one is checking this story out. Journalism at it’s worst. If it bleeds it leads, I guess. Damn the facts. Give us dirty laundry.
Drag a $100 bill through a trailer park. You’ll find a lot of these babes!
She pulls a u-turn in front of a pick-up [which could have killed the family of 4 in it] and then dares lie about what actually happened? This bozette got exactly what she deserved!
Every time Jennifer Boulden speaks, the B.S. Meter goes a little higher, and it was red-lining to begin with. She needs to shut up and go away, at least until she faces the charges that should be forthcoming.
Inattentive driving. Failure to yield. Assault. Lying to police. Obstructing justice. Slander/attempt to smear the truck driver. Filing false police report. Sounds like from her own statements that they already have enough to charge her. Oh, that’s right. She changed her story again. She’s still the victim.
In a perfect world, the truck driver would be able to sue HER dumb arse for the stress and anguish it has undoubtedly caused HIM. Everything she got, her re-injured back, legs, whatever were all of her own doing.
As someone posted earlier, what if someone HAD gotten the guy’s plate # and he had been in jail? If it was me I’d stop at nothing to see her burn.
I gotta get away from this for awhile. The more I think about this lying scumbag the more pi$$ed off I get.
I’m curious about this meth angle. I tried to google more info but came up empty.
I did find another picture of her though, which explains the stupid hat. She doesn’t have a forehead, it’s more like a tenhead:

I’m outta here. Have a good, safe weekend….
Morg,
Glad you pointed out the fact she crawled behind her car while knocked unconcious and she remembers being picked up from the road by “witnesses”.
I love the fact that her story changed again and the officer is not remembering the details and is sticking by her story. THIRD CHANGE.
Lock her up!!!!
I contacted the Shakopee News and KSFY to retract their stories. Shakopee sort of did..they are saying anymore how the “Road Rage Victim” wants to foward her recovery.
They changed part of the story to same thing that the Trib says.
I think I will have to be like Morg and stop reading all the accounts. I am eating so much crow, I ran outta A-1 Sauce.
Five kids? Umm… NO!! She Gave up custody of the first two, New hubby has two from first wife ( NO CONTACT WITH), and the the 2 DIP@#$%S have one together. Must be time for her SSI review!
Scott County is where you need to go to get the real deal on this lady. The meth thing is the real deal. They know who she is. Her playing up the mother side of things is perfect, even though her kids were not in the car. I don’t know to many mothers of five who can get out in the middle of the afternoon without carting at least one of them with her. Where were they? Do they exist? Her husband, boyfriend, babies daddy, must be very proud. I’m with jimmy bee on this. No truck driver. No road rage. Free trip to the hospital. Pain pills. Attention. The end.
Just in case there really is a truck driver……I hope he stays unfound. I wouldn’t trust this chick or a jury of her peers as far as I could throw them. Or I should say “as far as they could fall down all on their own”.
On a side note, the woman also has two incidents on her record for driving without auto insurance. What a wonderful citizen….not.
Again, trying to garner sympathy. I agree doubt there was any other driver. I drove by approximately 1 to 2 minutes after the incident, never saw a fleeing truck or anyone stopping to help her. Only saw a woman in a car on a cell phone.
The girl was on KQ this morning and said she has never talked to Capt. Greg Muelken and is not sure where he or Jim Adams is getting this information.
Better check your sources guys.
He’s probably getting his info from the statements of witnesses as well as the police who interviewed her. If he’s the captain, then people are reporting to him ALL the info they collect from everyone. The fact that she hasn’t talked to him directly means nothing.
There’s a video of her on the Star Tribune website that’s over 5 minutes long describing the incident. She describes flat out how she was putting the phone to her head to call 911 when he took it from her and threw it. (And why is she talking about putting a phone to her head before actually calling 911? someone else supposedly called the police, and there was no mention of a 911 call from her) She then describes how he grabbed her by her “upper extremities” and threw her like a rag doll. Frankly, this idea of trying to force an apology on someone who is clearly irate is just stupid. NOBODY would do that…if for no other reason than fear for safety.
If you watch the video of her describing the situation in contrast to what shes saying now, there are some very versions. She certainly had a very vivid memory about what happened the day after, suddenly now it happened so fast that she isnt quite sure. The fact that shes STILL in the news and on KQ etc certainly feels like someone who’s seeking attention more than anything else.
Mama J is right on about the supposed 5 kids. She portrays herself to be this doting mother of five - not the case at all! She only has one child living with her. News Reporters really need to check background on these people before they give them their 15 minutes of fame! Lies, lies, lies….also - maybe they should check out her record with Scott County Sheriff Dept….meth, etc!
“I was high in the air and then I was in [the] middle of 169 northbound,” Uh huh. What a liar. Always two sides to every story. If some crazy person ran me into the median with my family and then proceeded to confront me it wouldn’t be a good day. I would simply drive away and document their license plate and report them to 911. Why should we be afraid to confront bad drivers? If she put my family in danger of bodily harm, then I would consider taking other measures including using the vehicle as a means of defense. This is open to interpretation. This lady is your standard suburban soccer mom who thinks she is in the right even after she almost killed a family of four. She needs to learn to take responsibility and to cool that bad temper. Get a grip, the crazy bus is filling up fast!
There is something wrong with this woman and she should be procecuted for lying to the police
