Roadguy’s colleague James, proprietor of the Whistleblower blog, offers us a look at how police officers are transporting themselves around Nicollet Mall (there’s no audio except for the wind):

I don’t think they’re Segways — I couldn’t find a three-wheeled model on the Segway site, though it does have a section dedicated to law enforcement. Either way, the whole seat-belt issue is avoided, and it solves the problem of not being able to bike on Nicollet Mall during the workday or on downtown sidewalks at any time.
