Me too. Pay close attention to this people. The majority of these “critical habitat” plates are on SUV’s. I wish they said Hypocritical Habitat plates. You want to show how “outdoorsie” you are. I would like to believe it is the guilt you have for driving such an impractical vehicle. Do you think you look cool in your over-sized Station Wagon.

I remember in the 80s is was the fad to have your plates include your first initial and last name (if it fit). Wouldn’t seem like a good idea any more.

BTW, in response to Screech, I’m reliably informed that, on the whole, if a cop comes up to you after stopping you for speeding, and asks to see your pilot’s license, it’s usually a bad idea to show it to him…

I have a critical habitat plate on my SUV and like Bsimon I fail to see any hypocrisy in it. It does not mean I’m an enviro-wacko or anything, just that I like the outdoors and like to camp and hunt and fish in it. And I have a vehicle that makes it easy to do that.

Frame: “I don’t drive too fast…”
