The water coming down like a gentle rain onto West River Parkway was, I believe, related to the concrete medians curing up above. This peaceful feature is not part of the finished product.

Click here for the Strib’s webcam, which includes a view of the 35-foot-tall concrete “waves” that mark either end of the bridge. And if you haven’t checked it out already, this 360-degree view from under the bridge is pretty cool (in spite of the fact that I ended up in the picture).
