It’s National Park(ing) Day, wherein people convert parking spaces into pocket parks. Here’s the Minneapolis-St. Paul page — looks like much of the action was over the lunch hour, but there’s an event this evening.

It’s also International Talk Like a Pirate Day — and really, if you think about it, pirates are all about transportation.
