My colleague James captured this scene Monday on what’s left of Marquette Avenue:

No wonder parking meters malfunction. They’re clearly abused.

Marquette looks a lot like Lyndale Avenue right now — a dirt road in our urban midst. It’s going to be pretty spiffy when it’s done, but I’ve been hearing from more than a few people about how the Marquette/2nd project and the related bus reroutings are delaying their commutes. If you’re a-suffering, think of the comments section below as your shoulder to cry on.
