I guess this postal carrier thought they worked for UPS, as in Unlimited Parking Spaces. They decided it wasn’t enough to park illegally in ONE handicapped space, so they straddled the line and took TWO!!

Maybe the truck was, you know, on fire, and the driver didn’t have time to think, or, um…

Hmm. Nope. Pretty much inexcusable.

Come on, if our finest can park illegally, why then not the Feds?

Every single day I see where a vehicle has been parked either the way the postal truck above parked; or they’re parked in one dominant spot and are over into the spot next to them making it impossible for a single vehicle to park in that particular spot.

I dated a guy once that took up two spots and then proudly announced, “there, that’ll fix them”. I looked at him and thought to myself, “that’ll fix who??” That was our last date.

A lot of people do not “care” at all how they park. They just put their car anywhere and if it’s over a line, “oh well”.

Ah! Reminds me of one of my husband’s best high-school pranks. The scene: a crowded mall parking lot during the Christmas rush. Some idiot has parked his shiny new Miata in the center of two spaces, much like our USPS friend above. My (future) husband and his friends, cruising for a parking space to no avail, grumble about this person’s jerkitude. Then the lightbulb comes on. We’re a car full of fit teenage guys. That’s a small car. They put their car in park, hopped out, and reoriented the little Miata perpendicularly across the two spaces it was taking up. No harm done, but the driver was going to have a heck of a time getting out of the parking lot to go home.

If I was handicapped I would park behind the postman like the rearranged Miata. Maybe the postman had somewhere to be those apartments.
