As we speak, there’s a celebration going on over at the Unweave the Weave project at 694 and 35E. The reconfigured interchanges are full of soaring new bridges, but their paint jobs are nothing like what Roadguy saw last week in New Mexico (click to enlarge):

The bold Southwestern palette and designs would probably look a bit out of place in the northeast suburbs (or even the southwest ones), but it was fun to see a little color along the road.
