Mailbag: Motors and voters

I rode my bike to vote, then came in to work later in the afternoon to work an election shift, so I’m a little behind on the mail today. Alert reader mattaudio sent in this photo at 7 a.m. today from Lakeville under the subject line “Voter interference”:

On a day when there were parking crunches at many polling places, it’s a bummer to see such behavior. This person probably demanded two ballots as well.

Also in my inbox today was this e-mail from alert reader Amy:

We were in Northeast Minneapolis eating on Saturday, and within that 45 minutes, someone stole my magnetic Obama bumper sticker from the back of my car, and STUCK ON a McCain sticker. Problem is, my car is leased, and this sticker is proving very difficult to get off. There goes my extra hour earned from daylight savings time. I was so enraged, I immediately went and bought another magnetic Obama sticker the same day.

Sticking someone else’s car = very uncool. Fortunately, we are mere hours from the end of the political wackiness. No matter who wins, though, I bet there will still be Moron parkers — no candidate has pledged to take action on the problem.
