Some drivers like to BYO snow

I’m no fan of snow in late March, but this morning’s dusting offer an excuse to run a few more brush-off photos for the season. The first was taken earlier this month by my colleague Shari:

She writes: Seems dangerous. And an emergency vehicle … Ironic?

The car does indeed say “Emergency Medical Services” on the side. One might expect folks in the health field to have a heightened awareness of the value of seeing other traffic; on the other hand, if the driver was zooming to an emergency, maybe clearing the back window was a low priority.

And for those who can’t decide whether or not to brush off the car, here’s a solution — go halfsies:

This driver, photographed Wednesday, had cleared all the windows on his side, his windshield, and a portion of the back, and left the snow on the rest. If there were passengers (I couldn’t tell), they didn’t do their part. Let’s hope warmer temps eliminate this dilemma soon.

We close today on an unrelated note: Apologies for the lack of postings this week. I spent the first two days dealing with rain in my dining room and the next two immersed in this story about the bridge collapse and this one about 35W lane closures that start tonight (and what the freeway will look like when it’s revamped). The news never stops, even if bloggers sometimes do. Keep the mail coming.
