Sometimes

Sometimes it is the size of the dog in the fight.
Sometimes it’s better to be good because then you can screw being lucky.
Sometimes it pays to have A-Rod in your lineup at third base instead of Nick Punto.
Sometimes Derek Jeter plays like he should win the MVP without a vote being taken. (Of course, 2006 wasn’t one of them.)
Sometimes Boof Bonser will pitch like Sidney Ponson. I have confidence that, many more times, he won’t.
Sometimes games don’t start well and the Twins take too many dreadful at-bats. It’s too early in the season to be seeing that, even in one-sided games.
Sometimes Twins fans should be thankful for a schedule that includes 19 games against Kansas City and 7 against the Yankees.
Sometimes I look ahead in the schedule and get concerned. Like when I see that 14-game stretch against Toronto, Detroit, the Yankees and Chicago just before the All-Star break.
Sometimes it’s better to take things one game at a time and not read too much into 2 nights of terrible baseball.
