so first sidney ponson gets sent out of town and then the tigers start a guy named victor vasquez whose last start came earlier this week against matt garza and then boof falls behind 2-0 in the first inning before the twins scored four runs in the first including a home run by torii and not including a play at the plate when the tag was late but they called the guy out anyway and then the twins kept hitting and hitting and scoring in every inning except the second. (exhale)

and torii had a double and then another home run and finished with seven rbis and castillotorii.jpg and cuddyer and morNOSE and kubel each had three hits and even though mike redmond only had two one of them was a home run which was his first since ’05 and tied him with joe mauer and boof for all his shakiness pitched inside a bit and was thus able to use his wicked curve as a strikeout pitch and the bullpen pitched four scoreless innings including one by pat neshek who is getting better and better with the changeup to lefties. (exhale)

and gardy shuffled the lineup by dropping punto to ninth and putting bartlett second and reordering the 3/4/5 guys as cuddyer/morneau/hunter and the twins ended with almost as many runs (16) as they’d scored in the other eight games of the homestand (20) and i don’t care that joe morgan doesn’t read blogs or use the internet very much (which i learned from watching the game) and for all the crudball the twins are only 5 1/2 games out compared to 7 1/2 games out at this time last year. (exhale)

and can you believe what dreamz did to yau-man on survivor? hope nothing happens to that truck, pal.

and finally on a day when so many interesting things happened in baseball (and golf and the stanley cup playoffs) why is so much time on sportscenter being devoted to roger clemens and brett favre neither of whom (unless i’m mistaken) did a thing yesterday except go blah-blah-blah-blah-blah?
