Vera Wang’s Russian story

Vera Wang knows how to set a mood. Her Russian-inspired runway show had lots of tough coats and bib-like bejeweled pieces. While she’s still experimenting with volume, there were also plenty of waist-conscious pieces. She didn’t just go for glam like Kimora Lee Simmons in her Russian turn for Baby Phat. Wang also looked at the peasants and artists. There was great depth to the collection. Of course, the babushka to the right is an extreme of theme.
