With no Golden Globes to hold me to the Oscars, I actually watched the SAG Awards last night. A first! And the stars actually dressed for it.

Monique Lhuillier designed what I think was one of the most beautiful dresses of the night– America Ferrera’s “chantilly lace gown, one shoulder cut with beaded detail and a form-fitting bodice,” per the press release.

She also made stunning Marcia Cross’s stunning aqua silk chiffon gown. This dress is in Lhuillier’s pre-fall collection. (We’ll see the fall 2008 collection on Feb. 5.) My other faves? Deborah Messing in gold Oscar de la Renta and Vanessa Williams in canary Escada.
