“French femininity, Brazilian sensuality, and American Simplicity,” is how designer Laura Poretzky describes her label’s identity. Here’s how that translated to the runway for fall 2008.

1. Booties: The shoes one the runway will be available in Poretzky’s Payless collection. The best was a dress “Ysabel” shoe featuring topstitching matching that on the clothes. 5. Subdued colors: Even slate blue is used as a neutral here.

6. One-shoulder: Exposing one shoulder is emerging as a major fall trend (a carryover from spring).
